Apparently same happens to a lot of others as well, many complaints about TS2015 not starting on the support forum threads on steam :-/ I suggest everyone who has the issue emails DTG support, including and DMP files if any!! :-(

PS: I read a post that if all routes are black, turn off the dynamic lighting (TSX in old menus)... :o

Apparently, try turning off "Dynamic Lighting" (or TSX)...

Thanks very much for that, yep turning of the dynamic lighting works so all being well I/we may avoid re installs!
Notified support of the problem also.
This whole weather thing has been a right mess and still it continues & now the lighting is being faffed with!

Several ppl over on the Steam Discussion forums posted already that reinstalling doesn't help at all to fix the problem :-(

Sadly, I didn't find any response yet from DTG regarding this new issue...

They're triaging. And knowing their programming skills it'll take a week. So either we'll get reverted to 48a or we'll have a week of black screen.
How I wish some better programmers and in general technical, pedantic (about their work) people worked there...

Their locos are so untidy when you get into their internals. And I've done that a lot recently. We all know how they can be seen from the user point of view. From the modder POV they are even worse sometimes. I can only image how their codebase looks like.

Well - while they're triaging, they could perhaps still give some feedback on their actual official Steam forum about them being aware of some issues with latest patch?

(Either doesn't start up TS2015 anymore at all, or black screen in scenarios :P )

Believe me, they know, they are probably ashamed ;-)
I'm really starting to loose hope we'll evet get a nice codebase of this train simulator before they get to the Unreal engine which might be even worse.
They still have not fixed saving/reloading scenario where AI can get bugged and scenario is impossible to finish. This bug has like 6 years? It was there since the beginning.

Tried loads of routes and scenarios since the latest update and cannot find any problems. Albeit I cant find anything they have done either!!
I have no black screens and my Dynamic lighting is "ON". So guess it isnt affecting everbody.

Having read these latest threads I thought I'd fire up and see if patch installed ok and have to report that I can't find any problems. I cleared the cache after the patch and then went into 3 different routes and all ran like before. Haven't seen anything different yet but it's still too early. Dynamic lighting is on.

For what it's worth, my specs are,

W7 Home Prem, AMD Radeon HD 6700 series, 8Gb Ram, 4.20 GHz proc i7

I also do not seem to be affected:

Win7 64, GTX660, 335.23 drivers, all maxed out, SSAA, 8x AF, dyn lighting on

My laptop with NVidia card is OK too (Win7, 340 drivers, MSAA, dyn lighting on).

Good job they don't work in A&E, we'd all be dead. :D On a more serious note my update seems to have gone ok.
