I was hoping that there may have been mention of a fix for that awful orange, and black sky in the scenarios posted in the other thread, but alas no.

Now that you mention the sky I have noticed some scenarios where everything has a blue tinge to it.

Albula with the blue tinge. Even inside the tunnels is blue.

Wow, that looks absolute horrid! If they don't fix that, I'm still staying put - I know the community have put fixes together, but why should we have to fiddle about with files to have something that should look normal anyway.

Have you tried Dave Dewhurst's suggested fix for the blue tint? (http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1#p1719751)

Doesn't Dave's fix work only when the new 3D weather is used?

I am waiting till after the patch on Tuesday/Wednesday (see previous page) to see if anything still needs fixing afterwards before I start messing with files.

Very similar looking routes. I have both. Albula is all right I think, only tried it on a rainy day.

Good point, I've not checked.

There is another way,
Open the Silverlining.override file (should open in notepad), you'll find it in ..\Railworks\Data\Silverlining
change

Code: Select all

force-monochrome-ambient = no
to

Code: Select all

force-monochrome-ambient = yes
and the blue tint will disappear.

Thought I'd have a run with the new 801 EMU (not tried it before) so had a run from
Peterborough to Kings Cross. What irked me was that the 'light at the end of the tunnel(s)'
was bright blue - as well as the sky being more of a midday summer blue than 8 o'clock at night.
So I tried the above 'tweak', re-ran the scenario and found the blue was even bluer!
So I turned the new clouds ON (I had been running TS2015 with them off) and re-ran again.
Much better. Sky now a pale blue. Can't speak about the tunnels - I spadded before I got to them
and I CBA to run the scenario for a fourth time LOL.

I think it only works when the 3D weather is enabled, whether it's actually being used in a route/scenario or not makes no odds.

This is a shot of Albula from TS2012. A bit of blue in it which looks natural, nothing like in TS2015.
