Having my first run now on it, its a nice model my only gripes are there is not much smoke from the exhaust and the sounds outside the cab are much quieter than in the cab.

A bit confussed, some people have had a free upgrade and some have not, I have not had the 45 upgrade from steam, although I did purchase this along with the class 56 through steam as these were my first purchases along with the class 50 which I bought direct from the 3rd party website

What do I have to lose lol. Won't be sad if it doesn't happen.

Oh, I know. It'll be a bonus for many of us if it does :D

I guess I could just give it a quick go myself...

Well, this is strange. Having installed the old version, it now states, on the store page, the 45 is in my collection. However, nothing has been downloaded. Unfortunately, I didn't think to check the store page before I installed the old version.

I can confirm the scenarios are in game and playable.

The roof fan isn't working for me.

If it says you have it then you should be able to right click TS2015 from in the Steam window and do the untick and tick the 45 to redownload.

Trev123 wrote:Actually the 45 was a 288mb download. Don't know what the 83.8mb download today was.
I just did the uninstall/reinstall of the Peak with the 'View Downloadable Content' thingy on Steam and it downloaded 83.8mb to reinstall. Strange thing was, I got a download of 280+mb straight after I'd bought the Peak then it started downloading the 83.8mb immediately after the first download had finished.

In regards the free upgrade. Unfortunately, I didn't give it a second thought to wait to see if my old Peak would upgrade automatically because I bought the Peak from the un-named vendor 3 or 4 years ago. Needless to say, my old Peak hasn't been upgraded. It seems very strange that some people who didn't buy the old model through Steam are getting an upgrade.

If indeed it is the case that those who bought the old model from the original vendor are getting upgraded free, couldn't it have been stated on the store page, I don't even see any advice for those who originally bought the model through Steam that they are getting the upgrade free. It remains to be seen if I've spent £12 when I didn't have to.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Yes, of course - thanks. Reinstalled. Roof fan still not working.

I have to be honest and say I'd have been disappointed if I'd spent £11.99 on this. As a freebie, it's okay.

I'm not sure whether it helps or hinders, but I didn't have this version from the original vendor - I had the two headcode variants, not the ones plated over with marker lights. Most odd, but as I originally said, I'm not complaining. As a Yorkshireman, owt for free is good!

Have you run it for a while to see if the fan has been made dependent on engine temperature?

Got the free upgrade .. So cant complain.. Its a pity I cant use my "other" body model updates on this model though - I can see myself just using the old model for the variants and nameplates or am I missing something (wheres the manual)

Roof fan isnt doing anything - some nicer if odder sounds (what are those weird noises) Im missing all the scenarios as they must be locked to a route I dont have.

EDIT ah sussed the roof fan when I moved from laptop to desktop .. It only works in TSX/dynamic mode for me - odd.. (Or it could be temperature as someone has stated - will have another look)
IS it just me or are the textures really iffy (both modes) the original had much finer work

That could indeed be the case.

On starting a scenario, I note the fan is static but later on it is in operation. I noticed also that the fan's sounds kick in and out at higher speeds, so no doubt the two are linked. Nice touch.

I think the confusion is arriving around whether you had the website version of 'other developer's or had purchased it through Steam. Which did you have Trev?
Yeah, I got mine via the unmentionable website. So no upgrade for me then.

Cheers.

I purchased mine from the unmentionable website. I never purchased it from Steam and yet I've now got the 'upgrade' (I use the term loosely).
