Hi all,
I can't see the problem why some members don't make a backup full stop if your TS install works fine to me it's an easy way if you need to reinstall for any other reason. I generally reinstall Windows 7 about once every 18 months to get rid of all the garbage that we all accumulate over time, I often find that most of my programs work better after the reinstall. Because my internet connection is rubbish I always use my TS backup to reinstall TS, always works fine for me.

I have just made a backup of all my steam folder (61Gb) to a Seagate external drive (3 USB), it took just over one hour, if your folder is twice as big then it should take just over two hours etc. And yes all my folders/files are there.

Regards,
Pete.

It might be a good time for a clear up.
I have collected a number of routes and their assets but when you delete the route for some reason the assets remain.

With RW Tools I have created a list of rolling stock and having backed up all the assets I might delete the folders that don't have any stock from the main system and then just reinstall those a route needs.
I will have a slightly slimmer Railworks\Assets folder at the end of the day.
