I wonder if there will be a 'Royal Scotsman' touring set as default stock...
That .geopdx file is not a code used by the Rebel Alliance...

Doubt it as the stock list announced at the moment includes only the highland line green and cream set plus a variety of wagons and mk3 sleepers but I guess there is nothing stopping reskinners from having a go and making the set out of the existing stock that is available.spellow3010 wrote:I wonder if there will be a 'Royal Scotsman' touring set as default stock...
Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
According to the Engine Driver article, the class 37 on the North Norfolk Line was used for researching the new model for the 37/4. Therefore one wonders as to whether the sound file for the 37/4 in the WHL add-on will come from this, or from another recording session with an actual 37/4. It has been proven within this topic thread, with the links to YouTube that the real 37/4 sound footprint is radically different to the older, unrefurbished 37, whether due to the electric system sounds or the very distinctive Bosch starter motor cranking sounds. This is a great opportunity to finally have a class 37/4 which looks right, let's just hope it sounds right as well. Otherwise I'm really looking forward to the release of this one (as are two of the women in my office who remember bashing the 37's in the 1980s)

Hey Peter, if you look at the Facebook gallery linked earlier in the thread, there is a comment from somebody questioning the sounds, and whether it will work with the AP class 37 sound pack. Keith has replied to it directly, saying that 'there will be no need for any other sounds packs [winking smiley]'.PETER1974 wrote:According to the Engine Driver article, the class 37 on the North Norfolk Line was used for researching the new model for the 37/4. So it sounds like he's pretty sure they've nailed the sounds.
Very exciting stuff!!!

The trouble is that there aren't any preserved 37/4s operational at the moment so DTG can't go on a sound recording trip behind one and DRS' are all in use or awaiting repair...PETER1974 wrote:According to the Engine Driver article, the class 37 on the North Norfolk Line was used for researching the new model for the 37/4. Isn't this set in the time when the Fort Bill beds were worked through to Mallaig?

37401 was until very recently in use on the Bo'ness railway. Presumably this route has been under development far enough back that one or two of the Thompson team might have made a visit.faedundee2 wrote: The trouble is that there aren't any preserved 37/4s operational at the moment so DTG can't go on a sound recording trip behind one and DRS' are all in use or awaiting repair...

Re: Thompson interactive. WHR coming soon
True however it was mentioned that people from DTG went to the NNR to get the relevant recordings, etc. from 6732, but accurate sounds for the /4 could be sorted by AP once 418 becomes operational again very soon unless DRS are willing to allow access to one of their depots to do recordings...donny wrote:37401 was until very recently in use on the Bo'ness railway. What is odd on that? I though that Thompson Interactive was subsidiary of RSC/DTG after first releases that is?Ajay1 wrote:Just noticed on Railsimulator.com Facebook page ,as has the other products that Thompson Interactive have produced this one also looks like it will be released via Steam.

...is it just me, or does the new cloud system have the clouds just too low? I've seen it in quite a few pics now!

Low clouds or high land? If you've ever walked in the Scottish Highlands, or any other mountain area, you will know how low clouds can get - definitely below your feet.y2flexy wrote:...is it just me, or does the new cloud system have the clouds just too low? I've seen it in quite a few pics now!
