Hi Martin,
I've checked the library and the only K1's are the MSTS ones, the nearest to will be the new Just Trains K4 2-6-0,I believe at some time they were used on the West Highland Line.

Cheers Richard! Will certainly download the Intercity Mainline one.

Quick question, how did you get the Highland Rail and the dog logo to disappear? I've been attempting an EWS skin but can't get those two to disappear despite blacking over the alpha channel.

Don't forget the decent K4 available on UKTS.

 Click to view more informationK4's Black & Green [41585200 bytes] - K4package.zip
File ID: 32701 Date: 09 Apr 2014 - 1637 Downloads

They were indeed designed for the line and the preserved 3442/61994 has run on the line in both guises over the years.

Plus black5s in the forms of 45231, 45407, 44767, 44871 and many more.

Thanks Xavier,

You need to amend the nameplatetest.bin file for the reskin to point to it's own folder. The HR and 'Westie' logos should then disappear if alpha'd out.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Me too when I get to run it in my own acts.

I've been known to run it with the RSC BR Early B1 tender as the one supplied gives a late emblem that looks a little stretched. Likewise the LNER logo on the RSC V2 may look better than the one on the K4.

Really nitpicky there though :p Also there's no brake vehicle in the west highland green/cream Mk1s, is there meant to be?

Umm YES any train on the mainline has to have a handbrake fitted vehicle in the formation in case the locomotive has to leave the formation on a incline, although that said I have seen it happen though only twice once I was on a dundee to aberdeen in the 80's with a 47 on that only had 4 SO's behind it and the other was a spitfire tour out of paddington to eastleigh works etc that didn't have a brake in the formation but that was run by the cowboys from carnforth and rules don't apply that far north apparently

My point is of course in that case that the addon significantly lacks a green/cream Mk1 brake :p

passedcleaner wrote:One issue I have noticed while playing the scenario 'Winter Westie'.
The platform starting signals at Fort William will clear to yellow despite the line only being clear up to the first ground signal encountered. This is not correct, as it should not be possible to signal a passenger train up to a shunt signal at danger.
(The scenario allows a late-running parcels train to depart the sidings before the player departs the platform, but the starting signal should remain at red until the preceding train has cleared Fort William Junction.

A limitation with the coding of the signalling, or an error?
I spotted that and as you say it is incorrect. It's not a case of passenger train though it's any train. In reality main aspects clear to the next main aspect and all ground signals within that route should also be clear otherwise you get a call-on signal. I had a quick look in the editor and the signal is only set to the shunt signal which appears to be the issue. Not got further than that to see if I can fix it as I just haven't had the time to do so and I'm sunning myself in Croatia now. I will take a further look on my return in a few weeks. Still an amazing route though and far from the end of the world but as a former signalman I tend to spot these things!

Rich

I have knocked one up using the Class 27 DLC BSK as the base (apologies as this image appears somewhere already on the forum). I will try and get this sorted during the coming week:

Plus literally just out of the paint shop. There was a plan to convert one for the Mallaig line (6301/54218), but it ended up being shelved. Just one beauty of our dear hobby I suppose is the ability to 'unshelve' such ideas:

Well, I have to say that looks just lovely, and I imagine it provides lovely views of the line. Good work, you've got the lining to match up perfectly.
