Hello Thulin,

Just to say thank you for a great piece of work.

Both this and the previous beta version worked "straight out of the box" for me.

Thanks again.

Hi, it's me again!

Sorry for all the questions, but chrisreb and Natvander (and others having similar problems), are you by any chance running a dual monitor setup? :-? That would also include playing on a big monitor hooked up to a laptop that has a built-in one...

Yes dual monitor, but only one running TS.

OK, thanks! I had an idea that the virtual mouse movements might not be done on the correct monitor, but on further study I don't really think so... I have two monitors myself and have tried switching primary monitors etc. to reproduce the error without any luck.

There's a 1.02 version up now, but the only thing that this ought to fix with regards to your problems would be the strange screen size sometimes reported by CVK.

However, a diagnostic keypad-testing tool and a special bug-hunting beta version of CVK 1.1 (which tries to "grab" the numpad keys at a more basic hardware level) should be ready sometime this evening. Stay tuned!

Sounds good - I won't be able to try it for a few days tho as I have a major assessment coming up for work (how work gets in the way...)

For those having trouble with getting the keypad keys to work in-game, there's a new "1.10 beta 1" version up in the "Files" section of the site ( http://cvk.pethu.se ). Please check it out. (My forecast is at least 40% chance of success, but that's not any more accurate than your standard weather forecast! )

There is also a diagnostic tool in the same place, to be used if CVK still does not work. Instructions are on the download page.

For those who have CVK running already, there is absolutely no need to download this -- it does nothing new apart from the additional clever keypad detection stuff!

Regards,

Still waiting for reactions to the new beta, meanwhile here's another thought for those unlucky enough to be "locked out" from using CVK:

Simply try running CVK.exe (or the CVK_1.1b1.exe) with administrator privileges.

It might just be possible that something on the system (antivirus realtime protection, OS version, account setup, etc.) prevents one app (CVK) from applying virtual mouse movements and/or keypresses on another (TS) if CVK is not running on the same or higher authorisation level as TS...

Never seen that one. Looks like it patches each loco's config files, so a bit of a chore backing up and then restoring after upgrades etc. perhaps?
