All the best, Richard
you'd be surprised, first kitchen microwave was sold in 1967

:D
1947
We had a microwave oven in the 1960s, it was HUGE, 6kW power and took 6 people to lift it, it was called Artica

Just to clarify, I meant in the cab of a loco, not in general.

All the best, Richard.

david1 wrote:very strange that people seem to like the sound of the DTG hymek, as it sounds like a muffled class 37 to me, which does not sound anything like D7076 at ELR, either D7076 has its own sound or my ears are very back, as I think this sound is on par with railsimulator class 47 and Deltic sounds which were just dreadfull
I have to agree, the sounds are awful, I will wait patiently

I actually think the Deltic sounds are about the best DTG have ever done, having heard a few Deltics on Youtube.

Ya having a laugh ! The AP sound pack is much better. The default version is very poor. But each to his own

Once again a thread heads towards 'handbags at dawn' because of the English language...

Trev's statement didn't say how good or bad the sounds are, but simply an observation that he thought they are the best that DTG have done. A subtle, but very important difference.

Personally I agree with you though; the default Deltic sounds are too quiet and my house doesn't shake when I drive one, but I appreciate not everybody might like that.
