Depending on where their research material comes from I don't think either the original or DTG modellers can be entirely at fault.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't train air pipes have red operating handles, I can't really see a red one in that picture only yellow and white ones ( which I think may be Main Reservoir and through pipe respectively ).

The big valve and hose is the steam heat, the smaller looks like the control air for multiple working, but could equally be the reservoir, there are another two on the left hand side. I'm more used to Blue Star equipment. At least one of the three hoses should be the control air and at least one the reservoir, which the third is I'm sure those familiar with the hydraulics will know, but a bit of a minefield for the non tecchnical minded. So lets hope DTG's research is good, or they get some polite guidance.

I'm going off this shot https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/ ... 0902_o.png which shows an untextured train air pipe along with the main res pipes which are textured, no sign of the steam heat pipe on that pic either...

The pipes handle in the picture is White, which a Steam Heat pipe would be but the shape is wrong.
But you are assuming that the DTG modelers know what they are doing.
The Class 77 proved that theroy wrong.

Good point but it is too high up to be a steam heat pipe not only the wrong shape...

According to steam the model was originally released by a third party developer so it looks like DTG haven't done any modifications.

The former model was not driveable because there was no cab. I will give the Hymek a try this night. But first I will finish a PZB training scenario for the Ludmilla.

It was revised to have a cab, albeit not one that had 'moving' controls but in either case it was (and still is) driveable with the keyboard or mouse.

Well, after the Duchess fiasco, I won't be taking the risk and spending on this one. Just a feeling; another product re-released at a premium price that's totally unwarranted.

I'm not normally one for criticising without purchase and sight, but this is becoming a depressing cycle which can't be doing the community any good.

I hope this packs sell not good and DTG will get the feeling that they have to take more love and care in this packs. Perhaps AP will do a sound pack with a few extras.

What shade of green is that supposed to be? It's not even a fair attempt at the 'weathered look'.

Would one of you talented repainters out there please consider producing 'ex-works' repaints in both green and blue. And if you have got the time a genuine 'weathered' paint scheme would be well received.

Thanks
