Has anyone managed to include the Manchester Tram repaint of the Croydon Tram?

I've downloaded from DP simulation site but after extracting and following the instructions, I get nothing. I can include the original tram, but not the repaint.

What is interesting too is when doing an extract via 7-zip instead of RWP, the file only seems to extract the original Croydon tram files and not the Manchester repaint, though the Manchester tram consists do extract.

I'm wondering if the correct texture files have been uploaded?

The Trans-Pennine units had a booked working over the CLC line in the early 80's:

Regards,
I should have said "but was, AFAIK, never seen on this route having been withdrawn in 1984" but the train shown might have been a one off diversion instead of a WTT train.
From the website
a 4 car Class 123/124 unit passes with a Sundays only Hull - Liverpool service, this was the only time these hybrid ex "Swindon Intercity Units" and ex "Trans Pennine" Class 123 units broke the Class 108 monotony. January 1981.
I worked over this line as a Guard and later a Driver between 1976 and 2001 and I never saw a 123/124 on this route.

And the answer to that is no  .

I will provide the correct textures to DPS forthwith, but in the meantime, if you PM me your email address I would be more than happy to supply them directly (and anyone else for that matter).

Hope this helps,

Richard

This is funny ( not funny ha ha ). I downloaded the Metrolink tram and then the Croyden trams and neither would work...So I completely removed both and installed them again...Croyden tram first...I deleted bluprints and cleared cache. ..At about the third attempt, both suddenly appeared. I have the correct textures for both Croyden and Metrolink Trams. The electric trams only work as driven units and AI units on electrified line of course. The "diesel" metrolink Tram works as AI only on non electrified line , such as the metrolink Tracks included with L-M. If you want to drive a tram on this stretch , you have to select each section of track and change its status to electic overhead line. A tricky job. DTG should have done it in the first place.

However the Metrolink trams do work as advertised and with the correct textures and I downloaded them a couple of days ago, but you have to persist with the installation for some reason. Well done to DPS and Richard Fletcher. Great LM 350/1 by the way. Simpler concept ( certainly for AI ) with a custom child object panto, than the 450/360 combo available before.

Would anyone be interested in this "507 lookalike" ? I rushed it together just to put some AI traffic on the Third rail part of the L-M route.

Repaint of Dave Brindley's 317/2. Not strictly correct in form or texture of course, but better in my view for AI than a 455 since there are no plugs and sockets on the front

Hi I've just gone a got a rail driver controller for the game and decided to give it a try on this route. The reverser appears to work in the 158 but both the throttle and break are none responsive. I'm guessing its a scripting issue with the scripts that the Rail driver uses to make it work with Train Simulator. I know the console is working fine because I just tried it on Stephens Pass and it worked perfectly. Has anyone managed to get the 158 working on this route with the rail driver console, or is this just a train that's none compatible?

That looks brilliant - can you upload it? Would be excellent to have as AI

I purchased this route in the recent flash-sale and my first impression, after one drive from Liverpool to Manchester, I feel this must be one of the best, if not best, route produced by DTG so far!

Absolutely loving it, both the city parts, and the rural parts are excellently landscaped, filled in, detailed, etc!

(There are other great routes, such as WLoS, which have really good detailing of the country side and are enjoyable all throughout, but I mean routes done by DTG)

Cheers,

749006 wrote: Some people still don't realise there are TWO routes between Liverpool and Manchester.
There is the Chat Moss line where Stephenson's Rocket did so well in the Rainhill trials and it was the Main Line from Liverpool to Manchester Victoria.
Class 124 DMU's, 45's, 47's and even 55's worked on the Liverpool - Leeds/Hull/Newcastle services.

And there is the line from Liverpool Central to Manchester Central via Warrington (Central of course,) built by the Cheshire Lines Committee.
DTG have modelled this line and in modern times it has seen Class 31, 47, 101, 108, 115, 142, 150, 156, 158, 170 & 185.

Peter
Yeah, not being British, this is something which I'm not very much aware of :-)

Wondering if anyone is adding the route via Chat Moss to this route, for uploading to Workshop or UKTS? ;-) Would be great to have L-M via Chat Moss available, even if in a modern day version instead of a (near) original Victorian version! ;-)

Cheers,

Am I right in think that there used to be a speed reduction over the bridge just before Irlam around 30mph? it has been a number of years since I have travelled down this route has this been lifted as only DMU`s use the line now or is it an error in the route.

Forgot is there any change that any off the talented skinners could re-skin the Croyden tram into the old Metrolink livery

I've no idea if it's the old livery. but Richard Fletchers reskin:

In relatively recent times, a lot of work was carried out on this bridge and it's approach embankments. Parts of the latter were replaced/strengthened by polystyrene (I kid you not). Indeed, I think track over the bridge was slewed onto the previously disused side after this itself was upgraded.

Think I need to revisit the blinds as I did do some Metrolink ones. Plan to do a T68 version too, thanks to Richard Scott and DP Simulation for allowing/organising the reskin,

Nice to hear that a T68 tram might be made, would love to see one of these for this route
