The ECML

Hi fellow simmers,
I recently discovered that Just Trains are building the Newcastle - Edinburgh section of the ECML. With that done, we have routes set in modern times covering the London - Peterborough and York - Edinburgh sections of the ECML. I'm not sure about the Peterborough - York section, though. I know some routes have been built covering at least parts of this section, but they are set before electrification, right? So, when the Newcastle - Edinburgh portion has been released, how much remains before we have the complete ECML? Also, would it be possible to merge the different routes into one ECML "megaroute" covering the entire line all in one?

I hope these questions isn't too stupid, but I'm a MSTS guy who have only picked up Railworks due to the extensive collection of British rolling stock and routes aviable!

1. Peterborough to York is being done in 3 parts by Creative Rail. http://www.creativerail.co.uk/home Parts 1 and 2 have been completed and released but at the moment they are BR Blue era. They have released a modern version of part 1 (Peterborough to Newark) so I can only presume they will follow suit with the other parts once they are complete.

2. With Newcastle to Edinburgh and Peterborough to York I think that'll be the ECML complete to Montrose with the Aberdeen Angus route working it's way towards Aberdeen. Sorry , I don't have the link for that one.

3. It is possible to merge routes but very difficult and in all fairness not worth the hassle.

3. It is NOT Possible to merger routes unless they have the same items on the same common tile.
