Yes its me again!!! A little more help please. This time as to how to get some light from the headlamps on the 9351 Loco. I post a screen shot with lights supposedly turn on, but to me it doesn't seem to cast any light ahead. I am able to change and swap them using the Ctrl +1 ,Ctrl +2 etc etc, even pressing H or shift H doesn't seem to turn them on. Am I doing something wrong ?

The loco lamps on 9351 are scripted. They're not controlled by H, like older models. Do as you are doing by pressing Ctrl+1,2,3&4. Hold it down to toggle through the different lamps. The 2nd option on each lamp bracket is a lit lamp. Steam loco lamps don't light the road ahead. They're not supposed to. However, if you press and hold Ctrl+3, you will find a modern high intensity lamp. This provides more light than the traditional loco lamps.

Hope that helps.

Best Regards
Matt

Hmmm...

It's a a few months ago that I last visited Somerset. At which time it was definitely in the northern hemisphere...

However, when I run the Railtour Arrival scenario, shadows are cast to the south of the train and, sure enough, that old sun is a-beaming high in the northern sky...

Does this have something to do with the flooding of the Somerset Levels? :-?

Kind regards,

Got the route now.

Can anyone explain why in the editor Minehead turntable is there.. yet when in game it disapears? - Ignore, Discovered thats what happens if you run from the editor.
I also have a missing texture at Washford on the track on the platform..

Slight niggle but I found that sometimes the level crossing warning tone on some of the crossing don't sound. Is this normal?

Great route though :D

It can happen when to many sounds are playing at once. TS2014 has a sound priority system and while I believe Matt increases teh crossings warning tone priority level it will still be overridden by say 9531s sounds so sometimes it might not play. This is a limitation of the actual simulator's codebase which dates back to to railworks 2, its a lesser issue than it was but it will cut sounds out which are less prioritized especially if your own computer only supports so many sound channels aswell.

No ideas on my missing texture? Will try a reinstall later just in case.

What are the steepest grades on the WSR? I had a Jinty with 4 MK1's and stalled just outside Blue Anchor and couldn't get going again. Might be my driving technique but I tried all I could.

Steepest gradient is the 1/65 up Washford Bank, between Blue Anchor and Washford stations.

David

Have you tried the solution suggetsed by Firstborn a couple of pages back?

Namely, Blue anchor and Washford station, and the deep embankments on the climb to Washford from Blue anchor. This is because you installed v2 over the top of v1 (the Steam workshop version) - I did the same originally

To fix this, Find: "railworks\Content\Routes\32f055e1-35e6-4779-a0f0-ee761bfa8898" and delete everything inside, then re-run the v2 installer

Would this work? I only bought WSR yesterday so never had the original Workshop version installed.

Thanks

As said previously, it was because it overwrites V1 but not properly. Do as firstborn says and it installs fine

OK - admitting defeat...how do I uninstall the Steam Workshop edition v1 of the route (other than going into the directory manually as above)? There must be an uninstall programme somewhere but I cant even remember how I installed it!

Thanks - I'd seen this and thought I could do it (as a last resort) but was infuriated because I couldn't find a "clean" uninstall programme to do the job. As it turns out, I've just gone into Editor and deleted WSR Members Edition on the delete route page and was just checking the directory to see if that did the trick!!!
