TS2014 Scenario package Berlin-Wittenberg 01 Our fifth RailWorks addon is released after a long tiome of waiting. Here we will give you an overview as usual - the link to the shop is at the end of this page. The prduct homepage site will be added within the next days. Description After releasing the four PlusPacks we built our first scenario package: It's peppered with dozens of new vehicles and Allows a realistic traffic scheme on the Berlin to Wittenberg route for the first time. Besides realistic trainsets we set a great value on the train operating processes - special situations in service and assignments by the dispatcher wants to make the scenarios a challenge. Nevertheless, there we kept realism - you will find original timetables and rakes from the year 2009 as far as what it possible to Implement them. The scenarios will play in the timetable year 2009 predominantly. Further More we added the famous train stuff announcements. On top, we inscribed the train destination displays on the platforms DEPENDING on the scenario with real data for the first time. Using scenario scripts we were able to Implement several operational specialties for the first time on a German route in Train Simulator 2014. So there is a lot material to discover and to do handicrafts with. Counting all the delivered vehicles of this addon (with its loading and painting versions), there are about 300 vehicles. Got this, absolutely loving it so far. The new RE160 double deckers have very accurate sounds, and are a real 'must have' for a modern DB scene. Nice to have a large set of IC coaches too for more realistic formations. Love all the new ambient sounds such as the announcements and sounds of S-Bahn trains at Berlin Hbf. Will go for a proper drive tomorrow to see how the scenarios themselves are!

I have to say I'm rather disappointed at the approach they've taken to sell this. Given that the quality is comparable, I could buy a bit more than 4 scenario packs from AP for the same price, compared to only 10 scenarios in this pack. Yes, it contains all that extra stock including an AI ICE-T (which is icing on the cake for me). If, as some of us suspect, this does become a standard requirement for other German scenarios, it would have been much better to split the pack into a stock pack and a scenario pack (at perhaps 15€ and 10€ respectively). In any event, I'll probably buy this as it is, but it will have to wait in the queue at this price ...

You would also need to add several sound packs into the equation, as the stock has original sounds including the AI Loco's & units. Then there is the announcement package included as well and as far as I remember AP doesn't supply bespoke weather with his scenarios as a norm. I think that we will see a flurry of patches to alias DTG models to the much improved sounds in this package. All in all I think it is value for money, but that is my opinion, you are entitled to yours. As to splitting the pack, there's not really much point as the AI and stock is needed for the scenarios. I think when you drive the first scenario your opinion will change rapidly, the immersion factor with the variety of stock and weather is impressive. I am looking forward to their next release.

I've no idea what their future plans are, but what happens with their next release, assuming the same approach is used ? Isn't it likely that that pack is going to contain some duplication of the stock in this pack ? Given the realism in timetabled activities that they are trying to achieve, I would expect it. While each pack is self contained, if there is duplication then that leads to an effective waste of money, which is why I would have preferred separate packs for stock and scenarios ...

Is the "dosto steuerwagen" driveable?
And regarding the IC driving trailer?

Do the have passenger view?

@ Mr Who, I never said that their next release would be a scenario pack, in fact I got the distinct impression that it would be something completely different. This pack was intended to be the master pack as I understand it and no future packs will duplicate it. I believe the nearest possibility to that will be if they make some of the locos/stock drive-able. In fact if you look at the freebies given in updates to the plus-packs it is likely that this pack will become even better value over time.

@ titt41 currently they are not drive-able, no idea about passenger views. Only had time for a very short try of the first scenario and I rarely use the pass view, but I suspect Smarty2 may be able to answer that

Just been having a look here: http://www.halycon.de/index.php and after logging into my a/c and going to the product page,I can't find this listed so that I may register my serial number for future updates on the product should they do one.The email I got from TTB together with the download link for it mentions registering it there. Are my eyes deceiving me, or has it not been placed on the site yet ?

Generally there is a delay between it going on sale on the ttb site and then the Halycon site. So there will probably be a short wait before you can register.

Wow! I have played the first three scenario's and I can say without hesitation this pack is worth every penny, if you're into the German rail scene then its a defo must have pack, the sounds are the best I have heard especially bogie run sounds, Ai traffic on the 3rd chained scenario is immense, totally engrossing, the onboard announcements are superb too. 10 out of 10 TTB!
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =270206151 Platform notice boards are a boon too.
