Pantograph Arc Frequency

Hello
I recently downloaded a Class 87 loco for the WCML. I'm pleased that the pantograph arc effect has been reproduced - though it occurs far too frequently and feels wrong at times - particularly at lower speeds and while slowing down. Is there any coding available that would influence this - perhaps to reduce the frequency of flashing below certain speeds? As I say, it's a great effect, but clearly doesn't reflect real world dynamics.
