Terrone's description sounds very much like what happened to me, Mike, which I PM'd you about (trying to unstore the Riviera Line). In my case I did wonder if my closing down StoreThem - thinking that it had maybe crashed while it was possibly still in the process of moving files - interrupted the process in such a way that the files were lost. That's really the only thing I can think of. To start with I used the original StoreThem release, but then decided to upgrade to the 6th June version.

Yerkes, did you manage to find your routes, or were they lost, if you don't mind me asking?
Cheers

I couldn't find them anywhere, I'm afraid.

That is what I feared. So it seems that they were deleted? Oh well, not to worry.

Sorry about this, I think I can see how this has happened, but not why.
The option to Store all routes or unstore all routes, checks that the list of routes is empty then deletes either the Content\Routes folder or the StoreC\Routes folder ready for the opposite button to be pressed.
It looks like pressing another button in the middle of an action might get the program in the wrong position and it has deleted the wrong folder.
I am testing this further, so be very careful with StoreThem, especially if your routes are not backed up. I have not heard of any problems with Assets.

I have had a couple of reports from users who have lost their 'Content\Routes' folder after using StoreThem. I have not been able to replicate this and it should not happen under correct operation of the program, but somehow we managed to delete the Routes folder while it still held routes before they had been moved to the StoreC\Routes folder.
The new version v1.0.32 includes code to stop any folder being deleted if it still includes sub-folders, so just in case make sure you use the new version.
Also make sure you have backups of Assets and Content in any case, even if you don't use StoreThem, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Hi Mike.
Thanks for the info and the new version. Luckily I had a backup of my routes folder, so it wasn't a massive issue for me, just took me by surprise when all my routes had gone! It hasn't put me off using this very handy program at all.
Thanks again

Mike,
sorry to say that I've just installed StoreThem (v1.0.33) for the first time and it won't run. I dragged the folder from your .zip file to the drive on which I have RWTS installed and double clicked the .exe file. It says that it doesn't have a path to RWTS and opens the main window. When I click on the option to set up the path, it comes back with an error dialog saying run time error 1001 / unsupported value type. , then shuts down. I did manage to set up the reader path and help now works, but I always get the abort when trying to set up the main path.
Please could you look into this. If you need more data please ask.

moi

Hi Moi,
The first message that it does not have a path to TS2014 is correct as you have not set up a path at that point, however, I have no idea why you are getting an Error 1001 as that is not a Visual Basic error message, so must be a Windows error message.
Could you try, instead of dragging the StoreThem folder out of the zip file to actually use a program like 7zip or Winzip to unpack the archive and try running from the unzipped version. If that does not work, please try downloading again, maybe you had a bad download?
I am assuming that you do have RW_Tools already installed and working? As StoreThem does need some files from the RW_Tools installation to work.
If all else fails, please send a screen print of the complete error message - Thanks
Mike

Mike,
thanks for the quick reply. I'll admit that I have had some problems getting a complete download from some Australian sites recently, including the various versions of StoreThem. My criterion for success has been whether IZArc will open the file and I can browse the folder structure therein. In all cases so far including my current copy of v1.0.33, transferring the files to my Win7 Pro SP1 machine has meant that the default archive handler has also worked fine. I already have 7zip installed there for handling .rwp files.
Having said that, I'll follow your advice and take another copy of the file from your site, then use 7zip after I've transferred it. Also, given the fact that you said this is a Windows error, I'll check the permissions on the folder before unzipping the contents.
I have to go out this morning, but will test the new file later and report back. Thanks for your input,
best regards,
moi

Mike,
I followed your advice and used 7zip to extract the files from a new download of v1.0.33 - no difference.
I compared the permissions on the folders containing RW-Tools and StoreThem and on the .exe files themselves - no difference.
On a whim, I tried running StoreThem as administrator and as a shortcut to the .exe as administrator - it worked.
I hadn't tried this before because, although I know we need to both install and run RW-Tools as such, I don't remember seeing this requirement in the readme or help file for StoreThem. I have absolutely no idea why I need to do this on my system, when other users seem to be able to simply run the program - unless of course other users have done the right thing and used this feature regardless.
Anyway, the crucial thing is that I can now explore your new tool and see if it brings any benefits to my system. Thanks again for your great and indispensable tools and your willingness to help with all our problems,
regards,
moi

Hi,
Glad you got it working, I did not need to run it here as administrator, but this would depend upon many things in your security settings, also if you have Steam installed in the c:\Program Files (x86) folder this might well be a requirement.
