Personally, I don't see why some still persist with supplying Free Roam scenario's with addons anymore. Quickdrive does the job better and you can have a randomness of Ai services aswell.749006 wrote:One or two people have noted RW Tools being slow with this route and I think I know why.
I changed the Steam loco in the Free Roam that starts at the top of the mountain and along with the player train there are about 250 loose consists around the system - of which you might see about 10.
Although they only load on the track as you get to them the info is still there for RW Tools to work thru.

For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it

Re: Marsdonshire route
because with quick drive you cannot drive along and do some shunting wherever you choose which a lot of people myself included like doing with out having to either set up a full scenario or waiting for someone else to do sopjt1974 wrote:Personally, I don't see why some still persist with supplying Free Roam scenario's with addons anymore. Yes, plenty - but don't forget if you use them then publish your route each user has to buy this one?xguerra wrote:Haven't bought the route yet but from what I'm seeing it's a fantastic layout.
Are there, in the eyes of creators, any assets that would maybe prove most useful or is it mostly recycled items?

... another problem causing 'late breaking' is that the AWS magnets are placed, in most cases, at 138m from the signal rather than the 'standard' of 180m?Silverstar46 wrote: I had several emergency brake applications passing yellow signals due to the misplaced TPWS.

I don't see that as a problem. If you are going along and you see a Yellow Signal you put the brakes on, not wait until you pass the magnet and then put the brakes on.Traveller54 wrote:... another problem causing 'late breaking' is that the AWS magnets are placed, in most cases, at 138m from the signal rather than the 'standard' of 180m?Silverstar46 wrote: I had several emergency brake applications passing yellow signals due to the misplaced TPWS.

Two or three people have noted that there is virtually no AI traffic.NAVYMAN wrote:I have no AI traffic on any of the scenarios, out of five i have tried there is no moving traffic.

My apologies if it has been reported earlier.
In the Timetable Editor for the scenario from Marsdon to Portkeane & there are 72 AI trains listed - non of which moved in my 50 min trip.

Not sure what you are saying here Navy? Yes there is plenty of 'static' AI but very, very little that moves - and that is the point about the lack of realism as far as I, and others I beleive, is the concern749006 wrote:Two or three people have noted that there is virtually no AI traffic.NAVYMAN wrote:I have no AI traffic on any of the scenarios, out of five i have tried there is no moving traffic.

The default signaling isn't exactly that visible from a distance! OK, I take your point but 'standard practice' says that AWS ramps are, in the main, set at 180m before the signal - in this route they are 50m short of that.749006 wrote:I don't see that as a problem. Re: Marsdonshire route
Thanks for the reply's lads.
What I notice is the trains are listed as service 1--- but they do not have any Destination on my rig so they won't run.
Also the night run on the logs has all the Ai starting at 1200 although the service starts in the evening.
Surely that can't be right!!

For those who have not seen my previous postings:
Just FYI. we are very pleased that so many of you are enjoying Marsdonshire and thank you for purchasing it. As I am sure you are aware we are here reading what everybody is saying and I wanted to say that issues that are reported will be looked into and where appropriate and able, will be addressed in a future update (no timescale yet!), but in the meantime please continue to enjoy Marsdonshire. I look forward to reading both your positive comments as well as any reports on issues. Thanks.
