There's a lot of stock from RSC that I just don't want to buy, ever. For example class 67 I already have the advanced from Just Trains there is no point getting the RSC one.
So in these cases I will always want one instead of the other in a lot of scenarios.
Is it possible to somehow alias all references to class 67 in the folder structure to another and on (like JT class 67) so I don't have to go through the swapping process every single time?
I could copy the files or do a symbolic link, but how do I know of what it's looking for? Is there any way in a scenario to find out which folder it needs? Or is it based on ID numbers or something?
Curious if anyone has done this before.

Interesting Q. In theory renaming the JT class 67 folder and bin files to match those of the DTG version and placing it the RSC folder should work.

Interesting idea, but if you made a folder like Assets\RSC\Class67Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class67\Default\Engine and placed the JT Class 67 files in it, would not Steam consider this was a pirate version because of DRM differences and just not use it?

Ah I didn't know it had that sort of DRM...mikesimpson wrote:Interesting idea, but if you made a folder like Assets\RSC\Class67Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\Class67\Default\Engine and placed the JT Class 67 files in it, would not Steam consider this was a pirate version because of DRM differences and just not use it?

I thought steam DRM is just on launch if you own a game or not, not use of files throughout inside of the game?

You would know better than I Mike. How about having just a bin file in the DTG folder aliased to the JT files?
