JT Totham Route

Post by Trev123 »

In the scenario High Speed Sunset it requires the High Speed Train Intercity Swallow and when I load the scenario it says it cannot load ICS Class 43. Where do I get this from ?

not sure but is this not included in the WCML route?
I am sure that it was default stock with TS2012!

Then you should have the ICS Class 43 (the HST Intercity Swallow).
Navigate to ....assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\Railvehicles\Diesel\HST directory and check if you have a folder named 'Intercity_swallow' (with its included files, obviously).

Yes I do. I have found it in my HST folder but the scenario I mentioned in my first post says it cannot find it.

Verify that the 'Intercity_swallow' folder (and / or its subfolders) are not empty.

Yes everything is there. I have emailed JT support about this issue. In TS2014 under the collections tab they don't show up or even in Free roam or Quick Drive.

It seems very strange.
It works for me correctly.

Did a verify cache and after that it did a validation and when that had finished I got a message saying, An error occurred while updating Train Simulator 2014 (Disk read Error) deleted the appcache folder as recommended by Steam but still got the error. Ran check disk and got no errors on my drive as again suggested by Steam, but again got the Disk Read Error after validation. The next suggestion on Steams support website is to reinstall TS2014 as this would most likely put TS2014 in a different place on my HD and miss the drive error if it has one.

If I am having a problem with any DLC from steam, I rename the folder example change to Original Intercity Swallow.
I then run the Steam Verify.
This will then give me a fresh install of Intercity Swallow.
If every thing works ok, then I simply delete the original folder.

If you simply do a verify of the original folders, It does not pick up any corrupted files that will prevent the items to work.

This is probably a bit late for you now, but may help people who stumble on this thread in the future so here goes...

I have just had this exact same message appear when trying to load a WCML north scenario. On checking the relevant HST folder I noticed that the .bin file class43_ic.bin was just 1kB when it should be around 17 or so. I had managed to corrupt the .bin file when trying to add wiper pairs text to solve the age old bug of the buffer pack HSTs not working with TSX.

To solve the problem I copied over an identical .bin from a different liveried HST (in my case intercity_swallow) [edit: which of course just replaced the power car I wanted with the different liveried one! ]

So... if anyone has a working BR_IC125_buffers class43_ic.bin they'd like to send me it would be appreciated! [edit2: Never mind I've solved it, there was an errant carriage return in my wipers script. That'll teach me to try to edit in notepad!!]

In short: Your .bin file is probably missing/corrupt

Thanks, got it working by renaming the HST folder to HSTold and did a verify which created a new HST folder.

Spent about 6 hours yesterday trying to get it going. Running check disk took up most of the time.

Sorry about the wasted 6 hours. I got back to you as soon as I could with my suggestion/Tip.

Glad you have it working.
