DTG Class 20 or JT Class 20?

Hey all,

With the release of both of these products today, I'm wondering which one to get. Personally, JT's version looks like the one to go for immediately; £1 cheaper (currently), 14 more liveries and FNA wagons. Is there anything the DTG Class 20 beats JT's Class 20 on? Is the model more detailed? Does JT's Class 20 have a light?

Regards,

- Matt

It's an absolute no-brainer. Get the JT one. The 'new' one from DTG is actually worse than the 'old' one.

JT version, I just love this and that is the first one, I have no plans at buying the new version as I am more than happy with it, as I have AP pro sounds added. DTG comes in one livery can not imagine that the sounds will be up to much going off previous models, the New Just Train version comes with lots of extra features and a full set of liveries so you would have to be mad not to buy JT one

I had the original JT one so it was a no brainer to go for the JT advanced one, and with some discount to chip in it came out at €3.50 :)

I find the JT Class 20 much easier to play, because the reaction to pressed keys is much better. Much better to accelerate and to brake, it makes more fun to drive the JT. And only three steps more to start (battery, master key and aws), not complex. I think you get more for your money, more liveries, more scenarios, better look inside the cab (only the cab view could a litte more back from the front panel - you could either look outside or watch the cab controls).

Of course, if you had the original Class 20 that used to be on Steam, you'll already have received the upgraded one free of charge, which makes it kind of a moot point, in that case.

Gone for the JT one. Held off buying their previous version because of a) the price b) the announcement on the advanced version...

But £11 that's a bargain :-)

JT for me too... There is no comparison to be had whatsoever in value between the two products. One is a fast buck, the other is a definitive offering for the discerning Class 20 lover such as myself.

For me, the only real value in the DTG Class 20 is that you will be able to make instant use of any new DTG Class 20 related scenarios in the Workshop. Get ready for class 20s leaping off a cliff therefore... or hauling a diverted Class 92 frieght on the S&D. :o

Elsewhere, RW Tools will be your friend anyway.

Bombs away, and thumbs up to JT.
