Think that was before the pro packs though, but even so I think he will be spoilt for choice soon for new sound packs

AAh, dean beat me to it! I was going to say that I was sure Rich had indeed made some but was thwarted? Nice to see these with decent sounds.

Maybe it's just me but I'm not exactly jumping up and down at the prospect of paying twice for something only to have to pay three times to get decent sounds for it!

Re: BR Class 14
This thread is about the Class 14 but it has drifted whilst I had work to attend to. Keep to topic please - other potential releases are not relevant to this thread.
When I get time I will prune the off topic posts again.
If you are not talking about the Class 14 then you are off topic and the posts will likely end up in the bin when I get to them.

Re: BR Class 14
Interesting to see the 14... Could be quite useful to me for hauling coal trucks "off the BR network".
In the context of this release, the previous 117 and anticipated further releases, I would strongly reiterate my request to the site owner / mods that went into the Cl 117 thread...
The previously standing guidance (and approach to moderating the forum) needs to be refined to accomodate the current reality.
If this is, as badged, an RSC Cl 14, then as a potential purchaser I want to know what's good and what's bad about it. If I pay the cover price, can I expect to see reskins, sound packs and scenarios?
Personally, I see no reason why this model (and any similar future RSC releases) shouldn't be discussed "in the open" as per the rest of the RSC / Steam stable - providing, of course, that the discussion doesn't stray to their former guise...
ETA: The Steam page for the 14 provides some relevant info on this model. The former developer is named, but with the very clear statement:
Developer RSC
Publisher RSC

Re: BR Class 14
Has anyone bought this new release yet? I'm interested to know what it's like before shelling out.
Cheers

Re: BR Class 14
The only change appears to be a slight update to the external model. The rest is pretty much as was. Hopefully AP will produce a sound-pack for it sooner rather than later. Works fine in QD on NE Rails, couple of scenarios for the WSR, comes with a handful of wagons.

Purchased and (although it is a second purchase) I am still very happy with it. Nice texture work and modelling - cabview good but no view of bonnet - didn't notice at first. Good framerates and overall I would say well worth the pennies.
I can't say anything much on the sounds - only watched a few Youtube videos.
Nice cab ride here;

Can't comment on future models as that is in the lap of RSC - fairly limited possibilities - NCB and preserved?

Re: BR Class 14
There is a short, enlightening thread about the BR Class 14 on the Steam discussion forums that should set everyone straight. Certainly set me straight.

Oh no, found it. Rather than setting thing straight it rather dirties the water some more.

Re: BR Class 14
There just seems to be someone who isn't a representative for DTG saying what can and can't be done with their models. Not sure why anyone's giving it any credence? All a bit bonkers if you ask me!
