When finished will this be in the Steam Workshop?

Nope, as I said, some 3rd party assets are now implemented which will require manual installation, so it wont work on Steam

tagsdm wrote:Say Robert, could the vegetation be the same as on other payware routes, meaning if one has other routes, he may have those assets anyway? Just curious. I'll usually try a route to see, sometimes I get lucky, other times not. Whereas the new ESR will be free, I'd certainly give it a go.

Sorry tag, missed your post. To be honest, I dont think so, ECMLS had many trees and bushes duplicated and reskinned just for that route. So other routes may not have the same vegitation. But I wont rule it out, you may be surprised. At the moment though, the route is to for along in testing to start substituting items.

Thank you, Robert, I see how it works now. I'll certainly try it when the route becomes available, then report back here with the results. I may have to get the ECML anyway, though not for a bit as the war department has just approved pre-ordering the DT M7 and I doubt she'll go for anything else for a while. Many thanks for all your efforts with this project, Robert.

Best,

Update, First of all apologies, I got somewhat distracted with my TS time, what with the Keighly & Ally Pally UKTSLive shows, & then recently acquiring the WCML over Shap, I have been thrashing lots if traction up and down Shap.

But, I have made a little progress, I decided to give the night lighting a look at, given that its a preserved line there will be little or no need for night running on here, but I like to have as many base's covered so I decided to do it. And I am quite pleased with the results...

Thanks Matt, the evenings/twilight hours do make for some interesting views. Although I cant see trains running at 1am, I have a feeling the neighbors will be pretty aggravated :o

OK, here is something I'm hoping you lot can help me with.

From what I can gather, the ESR does have semaphore signals at Cranmore, but there all un-used (they have the white X on them), I was hoping to replicate this.

Now signalling wise, I have used the WSR signals. What I would like to do is to either have the signals physically disabled, so that the arms and aspects don't move/change, but still have them controlling train movements so that if anyone wants to write scenarios with AI trains then the dispatch manager wont go into total melt down. Or alternitivly, just make the signals static objects and I could place real signals underground but at the same markers.

Any brainyackes out there?

Rob

Please can you try to not end up with the same discussion happening in two different forums. If you want to continue a specific discussion in another forum, PM a mod and they can split certain posts off into a new topic. The continuation of the discussion regarding the implementation of the signalling on the ESR can be found at the link below.

thanks,

So, with some (or be it alot) of help from Karma, I managed to get the WSR signal posts & gantries converted to static objects, and then with further help to John Yelland, weI now have the unused signal heads, with white X. Big thankyou to you both.

They look ace, congrats to all involved 8)

Really looking forward to this rebuild

As someone who paid for the original route and locos... I think it's a real shame that MT won't make the loco's freeware to go with the rebuilt route...

I understand they don't hold up to MT's current amazing standards... but actually the loco's stand up remarkably well compared to most (if not all) freeware currently available and even a lot of the recent payware releases, so it's not as if they would tarnish MT's fantastic reputation.

I wonder what this could be...

Invalid File ID [32725]

You will need the WSR, ECMLS, Isle of Wight & Doncaster Works to run.

Enjoy.
