Route runs well, and looks good, countryside is just like what I remember of the area, it has the look and feel just right I think. Been about 14 years since I last worked in Skipton.
Though I could not take on water near one of the stations when I stopped beside the water tower with my 4MT tank, I didn't need water thankfully, just I wanted to top off the tank for the next section north bound between Settle and Carlisle.
Yeah, they probably were all non functional by the time the route is set, but if you point out which one I can try and fix it if you like. :)
It was at Blea Moor :)
I'm fine with the Hatchet Hill assets being used, in fact I was thinking along those lines looking at one of the quarries as I went steaming past

Ok Ill look into those.

As I say, Ill hold off the Hatchet elements, at least for now. Ill get at least one quarry in and people can judge whether it needs anything else to jazz it up a bit.

I have to say NO to Hatchet Hill. If you have it fine, if you don't have it then the route will not download from Steam Work Shop.

Yeah, this was the first time we have used these, I think we have used them in GEML. I believe they might be assets derek made for his weardale route.

Glad you like it. As its not been finished, its not possible to put scenarios up on workshop yet because it locks them out till you finalise the route (which one of these days I really must get around to doing), but nothing to stop you putting them up on UKTS.

Well, I am gobsmacked :o .

What was already a super route has been ported back to an era that suits me down to the ground. I have only had a brief run over part of the route, but I know just from that I am going to have a lot of fun with this.

A truly heartfelt thank you for your efforts,

Kindest Regards,

Hi All

I have a problems installing this Route unfortunately and I have never had any previous problems with other Downloads

I did the following :-

Train Simulator 2014>Collection>Workshop Subscriptions>Browse>Work in Progress>Settle to Carlisle 1975>Subscribe

The Route Downloads OK but during the Decompressing Process it stops half way and them turns off Train Simulator 2014.

I have tried three times now after Un-subcribing and Re-subscibing and in each case I get the same result.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Mike

Did you delete everything partially downloaded before trying again in case some corrupt bits were left?

Hi Chris

I un-subscibed before re-subscibing which I believe would have deleted everything.

It isn't showing up in RW Tools either.

Can you give me the Route & Content Folder Numbers and I will then check if anything is left in there please.

Regards

Mike

Hello Mike,

Hope your well?

The route ID is a599faf6-afa8-4fc2-a33e-7bce82cbd8c7.

Hope this helps and that you get it sorted one way or t'other,

Cheers,

Hi Richard

It's great to keep in touch again.

Still no joy - Just checked my Contents Folder and it is definitely not in there?

I am "Stumped" as it appears no one else has my problem.

I haven't cleared Cache so do you think that's worth trying?

Regards

Mike

Ok first off, click on 'build' and then go through the route folder to ensure you dont actually have settle and carlisle 1975 listed. If you do, click on it and then click on 'open route folder'. Delete at particular folder from inside the contents folder. Clear cache, leave railworks, then restart it, then subscribe. Then when its downloaded, clear cache again. Bear in mind it probably wont show up in any of the folders OTHER than build and quickdrive, for the reason there is no other scenarios available for it as yet. Also, ensure you do actually have all the items require to run it. If you dont it can sometimes cause a bit of funniness, though Ive not actually discovered quite how it behaves if you are missing any of the components.

Hope you manage to fix it anyway. :)

See my post earlier in this thread. If your problem is the same as mine, you will probably find zero byte file in Railworks\Temp named rout_a599faf6-afa8-4fc2-a33e-7bce82cbd8c7.zip Delete this file, and make sure you are unsubscribed from the route on the Steam Workshop. TS2014 should then work, but subscribing again just produced the same problem for me. I have put in a full report to Steam Support to see if Valve can sort this out.
