Ok, try unsubscribing, deleting the route via the route editor, then subscribing it again. That should force a new download.
(edit) Just tried this method myself to force a new download, and it seems to be working fine. Passenger express and freight trains can be setup in the editor at carlisle to run through to hellifield with no apparent ill effects. Not ran it all the way through yet, but there is no apparent ill effects as far as I can tell.

I fired up my second computer that didn't have the original version on it. The route was downloaded from Steam and I can confirm that it does now work. I'll copy the folder on this one to the other one. Thanks for the help, Stuart. Your extension makes a huge difference to the S&C route for me. Hellifield, even in its run-down state, looks much more like a station where expresses and specials would call than Settle does.

I see it requires the Modellers Asset Pack which is no longer available. Anyone know where this might be picked up?

Thanks for that Keith, and no problem. Im just glad it works for you now. If anyone else finds problems like this, please flag them up and Ill try and squash them.
As for Modellers Asset pack, most of the assets required for that should already be with the Settle and Carlisle install, but I gather it can still be downloaded from Dereks website.

Ah, thank you for that.
And being as I am very new to all this (only purchased TS2014 on Tuesday and bought the S&C add-on today) how do I go about putting the extracted files in the game? Sorry to be a pain!

Greetings, Uncle.
You'll have to do a bit of Windows work to sort it out, but it's not complicated. And I apologise if I appear patronising. Not the intention.
When you download the file you'll get two Folders - Stations and Transfer Points.
Unzip them somewhere convenient.
You'll probably have to create a new folder on your PC something like this -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC\APStation
So navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\RSC and create a new folder called APStation.
Then copy your Stations and Transfer Points folders and paste them into your APStation folder.
Job done.
And you're not a pain. There is no way you could possibly have guessed this!
Cheers
Bob

Is this to modify the payware Settle to Carlisle?

Having spent the last number of years on MSTS and FSX fiddling around in Explorer is second nature. But this and particularly Steam I just can't get my head around! Anyhow, this seems to work so thank you!

It is based on that route yes, but it was cloned and then modified. It wont affect your default S and C install (which you will need to make it work).
Uncle, glad you got it to work, and thanks for Bob for the pointer there.

Just as a pointer (if you have already subscribed, its probably already updated) that ive uploaded my extension to Settle and Carlisle 1975, and it now goes through to Skipton. Still not finalised yet, there are a number of other things I want to do first, but as British Rail once said, 'We're Getting There'.

I've just had a problem with the update for this route. Steam started and completed a download, but when I ran TS2014 it eventually stopped responding and Steam itself shut down with no error message.
No new files had been installed in the Railworks\Contents\Routes\a599faf6-afa8-4fc2-a33e-7bce82cbd8c7 folder, but there was a zero byte folder in Railworks\Temp named rout_a599faf6-afa8-4fc2-a33e-7bce82cbd8c7.zip which 7Zip couldn't open. I deleted this archive, and started Steam again, but the archive reappeared in the Temp folder, and TS2014 hung, crashing Steam again.
Eventually I sorted this out by going to the Workshop in Firefox, and unsubscribing from the route - TS2014 then ran normally without crashing Steam. Subscribing to the route again from within TS2014 produced the same problem, so I removed the route, the zero byte archive and unsubscribed in Firefox again.
My conclusion is that there is a problem with the route currently uploaded to Steam - perhaps someone else can see if they are getting the same problem.

Hi Alan
I am getting exactly the same problem.
As well as Unsubscribing and trying to re-load I also removed the Route using RW_Tools but still had no joy.

Mike

It updated on my installation just fine with no prompting from me.
Route runs well, and looks good, countryside is just like what I remember of the area, it has the look and feel just right I think. Been about 14 years since I last worked in Skipton.
Though I could not take on water near one of the stations when I stopped beside the water tower with my 4MT tank, I didn't need water thankfully, just I wanted to top off the tank for the next section north bound between Settle and Carlisle.
