It is built in to the sim. You can do what you described.

I think the problem with these 'Models' is the closer you are to the Real Thing the more the errors stand out.
You know the real 92's like the back of your hand so the errors stand out even more.
Having spent a lot of my Railway Career working on DMU's, Front and Back, the faults on them really stand out - to me.
Have a look at the Woodhead Class 77 and the Vacuum Pipe of the Front of the loco is modelled in the loose position

I have never been on a real 92 but I have seen them in action at a lot of places and this model, to me, captures the Feel of the Loco.
So although a lot of people are criticising the model because of the faults I look at the positive points and will welcome an AP Sound pack.

Also having bought the loco now I don't have Two things to buy if an AP Sound pack is produced.

I'm not personally going to advocate a boycott, if only to avoid the inevitable over-reaction that it would provoke, but If someone who's bought the thing wants to then it seems to me that they have every right to do so.

So you're telling me speedset is there to accelerate the loco with the power set to off? You don't need to of driven the real thing to know that's incorrect.

A very valid comment indeed. I would certainly buy the package again. Apart from the negatives there are lots of good points to be said. The graphic model is extremely accurate and the Cab / Divers Desk is well presented. The potential for operating on other routes in different modes offers a lot of potential to Scenario/Activity builders. I am pretty certain that improvements will be forthcoming once the Developers act on the feedback.
Incidentally the latest Class 92 operational update (ETS voltage reduced) now allows these Locos to supply ETS to Uk Coaching stock. Anyone up for making a few Charters with MK 3 stock?????

It wasn't meant to be funny, it was my sarcastic reaction to how scary some of the reactions some people can have to a computer game add-on.

I thought as much but refuse to bite. Hence the very funny. It doesn't matter if it's a computer game add-on or any other consumer product. You expect a certain quality for handing over your money and people have every right to complain if they feel a product is not worthy of their money. If you're happy that's fine. There are many that are not and their opinion is just as valid as yours.

Well I was going to buy this, but after reading all the comments don't think I'll bother now, not even when or if it comes on sale price, RSC/DG, you really have got to sort your company out, how the hell can you release a half working model, it would be like buying a car with the electric window switches but they don't actually work, a washing machine that doesn't actually wash your clothes, really disappointed by there efforts on this, for saying how long it took from the first intial shot on Facebook until today I really thought everything was going to be absolutely spot on, now don't get me started on there route building efforts, they use a house as a signal box at ingrates tone station, oh dear, would like to see a counter to see how many people have actually purchased the 92.

I decided to go for this despite people saying it was one to avoid.

Apart from the sounds I like the model very much. Without being an expert it seems to perform accurately, it certainly isn't obviously under or overpowered. The cab is excellent, it takes some getting used to with the power/brake handles operating the other way! I don't really use speed set so didn't notice the issue involving that but that should be an easy fix. The fact that TVM430 signalling works on the model is a bonus and will be worth a test run on London - Faversham. It basically has just 2 scenarios which is a bit weak. (I don't count 5-15 minute cab tutorials as a scenario!)

The included Megafret is a nice wagon which adds some variety to liners in the sim.

Overall I think the product is pretty good apart from the sounds. It is much louder in the cab than the external view. It would probably be better if they were swapped round in my opinion. They would still be the wrong sounds but it would be a bit more realistic.

My score would be 7/10. 2 points off for the sound, 1 off for the small number of scenarios.

I will still be buying the loco so as to make my own mind up. As I see it, I am getting the Megafret wagons even if I never run the 92 in the sim.

And to pick up on what Matthew has alluded to above, at the end of the day it is only a sim/game/hobby. I really do not see the point in getting over excited about it .

Why? This a a forum is it not? People are expressing their opinions about the Class 92. Nobody is going off topic and the product has been on sale less than 24 hours so I'm sure there will be plenty more people that will offer their thoughts too. Why censor that? This isn't Putins' Russia.

At the end of the day it's a consumer product that people pay money for! Seems to me the very people that are getting overexcited are those that are critical of people being critical which it seems is more their game/hobby than TS.
