Oh yes, how odd. It definitely disables it as I've tested it.

I'm assuming that this was a last minute change considering the amount of people who were unhappy with the fact we couldn't disable it in the 91.

And the 317. Yes I know there is the freeware one but you can't use that in the workshop.

This is a show stopper for me. I can't keep forgiving RSC for producing poor soundsets. AP have set the industry standard and that's what new products will be judged against. In the early days of the sim we could do without running sounds, decent track joint sounds, 2-tone horns, accurate engine/motor sounds etc because poor sounds were all that existed and we didn't know any better. We now know perfect sounds are possible and achievable by a one man band so there's no excuse for the powerhouse of RSC for not upping their game in the sound department.

I caved in on the class 91 because I'm a sucker for the Intercity era, but I absolutely won't be buying the 92 until such time as a decent soundpack becomes available or it goes to at least 50% off in a sale.

The model, cab, and livery all look top notch, but the sounds... well the sounds are just awful!

What about the livery, guys? I see both triple grey and EWS patched liveries on facebook, are both styles included / configurable?

Those sounds in the video sound awful. Nothing like a 92. It sounds like a 91 with a 67 horn. Absolutely dreadful effort there.

Odd, I had a look at the DLC page today but didn't see this.

Both are included and are of very high quality. I was having a lot of issues with getting the loco to move initially also, as the tutorials were quite useless and didn't explain how to set the loco up in full. It turns out that you need to set the OLE equipment up using the knob (which looks like a bath tap), then you need to set it/close the circuits by pressing the red button in the center.

As I said before the sounds aren't great, infact they are all reused from the class 91. The loco is only supplied with two loaded varients of intermodal waggons and as far as I could tell, the speed set doesn't work properly. The cabcam position is again, too low (I have just finished a fix which will again be uploaded to uktrainsim).

On the plus side, the loco looks very accurate and has some nice touches (both can ends have different signage/details)

Now all we need is some GBrF and full livery EWS paints along with some AP sounds and we are gold.

I think you missed my point. My point was that the tutorials weren't very helpful. Tutorials are supposed to help you put what's in the manual into practice.

The speedset does seem to function at higher speeds and also brakes according to speed set using the dial, however it seems it doesn't activate for speeds lower than 25mph.

From the video posted earlier in the thread, and subsequent comments, they're not even close. It appears to be a mash up of the 91 and the horn from the 67. Neither of these samples sound anything like a real 92.
