As crazy as it sounds you can obtain full power in all modes with Speed Set at Zero. This Loco has a backup for almost all systems. Should a fault occur within Speed Set then there is also a backup. The Speed Set Dial is placed to 0. This isolates Speed Set and full raw Traction Power is available. The Driving technic must be changed as the Auto control of Power and Dynamic Braking is not available. It can only be described as trying to tame a bucking Horse and needs great care.
Oh dear....after all the huffing and puffing about the speed set it turns out it's pretty realistic then?

The bug with the speed set is that the loco continues to power with the power handle at zero if the speed set is away from zero. This isn't what is described here. This describes what happens if the speed set is at zero, you can have full, unregulated, manual control of the power. Presumably on other loco prototypes, like the 90/91, no power will be available if you set the speed set to zero.

No soundpack from AP
Shame.

"Armstrong Powerhouse.
As things stand, there will be no Class 92 sound pack as we are unable to get the relevant access to record."

Seen it on Facebook earlier

A number of posts have been binned. If AP are saying they can't get access to record sounds then that is the end of the discussion on these forums. You can take it up with them on their Facebook page or website.

My experience of AP is that they are a professional outfit and if they can't get access to get decent recordings then I completely understand why they would drop any plans rather than doing a half baked job.
Kindest regards

Unfortunately this one may not get released as AP have just made it redundant:

Also AP have said that at the present moment there won't be a class 91 and class 92 sound pack as they cannot gain access to either to do sound recordings.
Pity about the AP soundpack, but why not release your DB repaint anyway ?.....There will be people who don't have WCML OS and therefore will not want a scenario pack for that route

Well paint over it..........

I don't know whether anyone has already done this, but as usual RSC have omitted the information on the name and number ( and logo ) codes from the manual.

RSC/DTG Class 92 List of standard names and numbers.

If you want to make your own, the key is below:

Number= 920xx=number,

First Letter: a-z=name,A-T=name, Note that E=No Name.

Second Letter: U= with EWS logo, V= No EWS logo.

Third Letter: W= with BR logo, X= No BR logo.

Fourth Letter: Z=?, Y=? , but one or the other must be there. ( any ideas why ? )

If you download the EWS pack (don't know about the Stobart one as I haven't grabbed that) be aware that the instructions are flawed:

"Then simpily Drag'EWS' folder
into the Class 92 Folder Located... Class92Pack01Assets.ap\RailVehicles\Electric\Class92"

should read:

"Then simpily Drag'EWS' folder
into the Class 92 Folder Located... Class92Pack01\RailVehicles\Electric\Class92"

and any further references to a "Class92Pack01Assets.ap" folder should be read as the "Class92Pack01" folder.

I've dropped Jack a message so he'll be able to look into it.
