Available now on the Railsim-fr.com site is yet another new route.
This one is set about 100 kilometres south of Paris and 50 or so years in the past. It's offered to us by Zawal whose previous offerings, 'Campagne' and 'Le Luron', are also still available on the same site. You can find 'Petite Voie' - and most of the assets required - at http://www.railsim-fr.com/forum/index.p ... owfile=733.
It's a rural, single-track railway, very pleasant for those of us who are not fixated on high speed. There are only two scenarios at present, using a mix of French freeware and Kuju default (UK steam era) stock. There's also a Free Roam, the stock list for which includes an X2800 (diesel railcar) from 'Fred24' which I have not been able to find, except in a Trainz version. Perhaps a TS equivalent will emerge shortly...
You will need GEML as a source for many of the route assets; the rest are mainly (or all?) on railsim-fr. The asset file that accompanies the main route file contains the .rwp (or .rpk) files of the railsim-fr files, making this a very easy route to compile.
Enjoy...
KInd regards,
John M

Re: France: Une Petite Voie
The X2800 railcar might be the x3800 Picasso

However, RW_Tools tells me that the missing item is Fred24\FB_X2800\Engine\X2800_loco.bin, which is a quite different beast. I expect it'll turn up, sooner or later...
Meanwhile, and in the absence (I think...) of any 'real' French steam locos, this route is a good place to try out the SNCF variants of the BR52, currently available on Railsim.de, perhaps making up a consist with the pml3 UIC coaches from railsim_fr.

And that was my first thought! Especially as one of the two included scenarios is for that very same Picasso. The X2800 railcar might be the x3800 Picasso

I'll have a look at the routes you mention. There's not enough for French routes.
Btw was La Ligne du Nord ever finished and are there any scenarios for it ? It was still being built last time I looked.
