Grid lines and other platform errors

Is anyone else experiencing this problem. I see it on many different routes. It goes away as I get closer to it.

Grid lines all over the platform.
I am also having problems with other platforms showing a lower res texture underneath the higher one which also goes away as I get closer.

My settings are maxed except AA (FXAA + 8x MSAA), View Distance: High, Headlight flares: Off, DOF: Off

My specs are:
i3 550 3.2ghz
4gb ram
Radeon HD 5770

Thanks

The only route I've experienced that phenomenon on (the grid lines) is WCMLN and then only on certain platforms, Motherwell being one.

I may have imagined it, but I seem to recall reading that it is, ironically, the "invisible platform" that is used for defining the area that passengers wander about on, but as I say, this might be me misremembering ;-)

It shouldn't show up, but I don't know that your system has anything to do with it when it does. My PC is much older and slightly less capable, but sometimes it does this.

Sorry to not be a huge help, hopefully a more knowledgeable route builder will be along to clarify what's going on here.

Happens on Isle of Wight too.. You'd think invisible platforms would be invisible :p

No, that's nothing to do with your system.
This happens if the invisible platform loft is placed at the same height of the (visible) platform loft and both overlap each other (similar to the old flickering junction issue).
You can try to solve the problem yourself by going to the editor and either raising the solid platform or lowering the invisible platform lofts - although, besides being quite fiddly, you are likely to end up with passengers missing their feet and the likes. Let's hope there is going to be an official fix at some point.

This is one that definitely needs a fix. It is virtually impossible to place a so called invisible platform without it either being on constant display or suffering from sunken passengers. Sadly such matters as these hardly ever get fixed. The most annoying parallel glitch, for me, is the selection tool which has been horrendously imprecise since the days of TS2012. I still have a copy of Railworks 2; the selection tool worked perfectly then.
