Many don't, that why I asked.

AP's Class 90's DSD is switched off by CTRL + R

Maybe worth a try

Again, the sounds let it down but a good piece of DLC and I know AP will do a sound pack for it soon which will lift it right to the top of the pile desire wise.

Bets now being taken on who's the first to write a scenario set during the high speed trials 8)

Not sure anyone else has noticed this, there's also an IC Swallow liveried HST bundled in with it (spotted in one of the scenarios and confirmed as included in the .ap file)

The model and livery are spot on, but I do agree about the criticism regarding the sounds - they're awfully done, and I hope AP do a sound pack for it soon, since they've always done an excellent job in comparison.

Apart from that, I give the Class 91 a 7/10.

Lame sounds are the killer blow for me, no deal and I won't be buying this until the sounds are improved. High quality and realism of sound is absolutely essential to me and a lack of attention in this area has been the Achilles Heel of many an RSC product and is the first thing I now look for in reviews of their rolling stock. No running sounds, poor track joint sounds (although hopefully not the default Kuju snare drum sound surely?), an all too familiar story.
Couldn't agree more, it doesn't matter how much it looks the real thing, without accurate, or a close as, sound effects then the whole diving experience is ruined!

But who knows, maybe AP can come to the rescue and release a sound pack.

As they did with the class 142 sounds on the class 143 on Riveria line route

A mixed review then. Think i'll just wait for a while and see if any patches etc are released for it before i part with the hard earned cash.

I don't think the sounds are too bad. It's got the roar which is important. The run sounds are poor, but that's always been a weak point for RSC. The aircon in the DVTs really is pretty loud. Horns are nice, not sure why people are criticising, the samples just lack refinement (as has been mentioned, they cut off too early). Could be better, but I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker personally. I'd give it a 7/10. Would like to see a patch for the view position though as it seems too high (which is ironic as many default views seem to be peering over the bottom of the windscreen). The passenger view also seems a little low, like it's a child.

I'd like to see something like http://www.traintesting.com/ic225_3.htm recreated, using Richards excellent Doncaster Test Train available at DP Simulations.

why not supply Unbranded East Coast livery with the product. GNER and unbranded NXEC won't need permissions either.
Because the pack was sold as "Intercity class 91" not "Class 91" addon which logically would have more liveries in it. Its the same as their previous products like Freightliner 66 or EWS 66. You think you people would have got used to the one livery policy by now.[
I have got used to it, doesn't mean I have to like it.

Well, I am a happy chappy. I am not overly fussed about the sounds, as there is probably a 99% chance that AP will rectify that at some point. My only personal criticism, is that there is no driver figure in the blunt end cab. Does anybody know if it is possible to place one in there? With RW Tools perhaps?

Cheers

You could try copying the bin file for the engine and renaming the new version BEF. Then all you would need to do is adjust the coordinates for the driver child object and of course, spin him round 180.
