Install the RWP then Copy the Class91_GeoPcDx file from the default engine over to the repaints engine folder.

Thanks for the responses guys, I will have another go at getting the East Coast repaint tonight...

I'm now officially chuffed with the Class 91... Having used the commuity patch to amend the seating position in the driving cab of the Class 91, I have now been able to play that default Class 91 scenario in the rain from Kings Cross to Stevenage with storm damage. I did previously criticise DTG for the small number of scenarios that came with this release, and whilst I am still disappointed with the number of scenarios provided, the storm damage scenario is very engaging indeed... Lots of yellow signal aspects, speed profile changes etc. So credit where it is due for whoever created that scenario... Kind of sets a benchmark for future scenarios from DTG - but please provide more... :P

Rating improved from 7/10 to 8/10 as a result of the community patch. To score a 10, they need to fix the cab view for all and provide more scenarios... The sounds I can live with until massaged by a third party DJ style genius. :)

Actually, when you have copied over the default Class 91 Geopcdx loco file, you need to do the same for the DVT ( it doesn't mention this in the Read Me ) . However, you need to use the modified DVT Geopcdx file from the "DPS East Coast Grey set" ( or modify the copied default Geopcdx file as instructed by DPS ) in order to remove the Intercity logo from the Flying Scotsman DVT.

Use RWTools for this

To remove the InterCity logo from the DVT, you will need to open the copied mk4_dvt.GeoPcDx file with RW_Tools. Change the line:
..\..\..\class 91\default\engine\textures\[00]class91_icslogo
To
..\..\..\class 91\EastCoast_Grey\engine\textures\[00]class91_icslogo.

In order to easily find this line use a "Search and Replace/Find" instruction for "icslogo"

Don't forget to save this altered Geopcdx file by "Files/Save TS2014" file when you have altered it.

This all assumes that you have installed the DPS East Coast Grey set, as there is no point in having the Bluecode/BHReskins Flying Scotsman 91 and DVT unless you have.

Hope this helps

Trying to install the East Coast reskin from DPS, not used to the new .AP files. Says extract from the file but not sure how too? Can anyone help me on that.

Other than that, the class 91 pack is not RSC best but certainly isn't the worst!

Decided to get this after much deliberation. I have to say, I'm extremely pleased with the model...it looks fantastic both outside and in. I love the feel from the cabs and love how all have been individually modelled. That was a good effort from Dovetail/RSC. The DSD doesn't really bother me too much although I understand why it annoys others who like to see the train from the outside.

But, the sounds as have been said. Deary me RSC....why no running sounds at all? Absolutely no sensation of movement at all....10mph feels like 125mph. Has anyone had any success perhaps putting in the running sounds from the AP90 pack? Those would transform the experience of driving this loco rather a lot prior to any potential AP pack. The horn is okay if a little quiet. Would love to have the AP90 horn sounds as they are near identical to that of the 91 in real life. Is this possible to do? The flange sounds are terrible and again detract from the realism of this model. I love the passenger view which I'm glad was modelled in the 'Mallard' style, but don't like that wavering 'air' sound which is horrible to listen to. Anything we can do here?

So I'd say 8/10 because the model is excellent and when it has good sounds it will be one of the best add-ons produced by RSC in my opinion. Is there anything we can do with the sounds without AP doing a pack as the motor sounds for instance are fairly decent. RSC clearly worked hard on the model and cab detail, but why oh why do they always let themselves down with the sounds? I just don't get it.

Use 7-zip ( freeware just google it and install it). Right click on the .ap file and choose " 7-Zip/Extract here . This will then give you all the files in the old style folder format in the correct place. You will then be able to install the DPS EC files with package manager ( or if you prefer manually see below ). From the 7-Zip extracted default files find the appropriate GeoPCDX files in the default loco and DVT to copy and paste into the DPS loco and DVT. Don't forget that you will have to modify the DVT geopcdx file from the default one as described in the DPS read me using RWTools. This is to prevent the ics logo showing on the East Coast Grey DVT.

You can also use 7-Zip to extract the info and folders from an .rwp file. So that you can manually install them rather than use the Package Manager, which often takes a very long time to "refresh"

Hope this helps ?

p.s. I agree the Class 91 pack, even though it has it's faults, is great to look at and entertaining to use, especially with the great reskins now and soon to be available.

Strangely the 91, Mk4's and DVT all reference the Mark 4 running sounds in the engine bin files despite separate bogie sounds for each model being supplied in the audio folder!

You could swap the paths to 91 and DVT bogie sounds to the AP/Wagonz 90 sounds quite easily though. Open each of the 91 and DVT engine bin files. Search for <BogieAudioControlName d:type="cDeltaString">RSC\Class91Addon\Audio\RailVehicles\Bogies\Mk4 Bogies\Mk4 Bogies</BogieAudioControlName> and change the path to the AP/Wagonz 90 bogie sound and DVT sound. AP have programmed track running sounds as part of the main bogie sounds which make the swap easy with no need for adding extra sound emitter child objects.

I did note, however, that the 90 and DVT blowers & A/C sounds are VERY loud compared to AP's run sounds which makes them barely audible! You'd probably want to decrease the base volumes of the fans in RSC\Class91Addon\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\Class 91\Exterior\Class 91 Motor.proxyxml, and the air con and blower in RSC\Class91Addon\Audio\RailVehicles\Passenger\DVT\Exterior\DVT.proxyxml to compensate.

That's probably why the horns seem so quiet too.
