In answer to the original question, I just ignore a scenario failure. I've stopped where the timetable has said I need to stop and all my passenger have got to their destination safely, all done to the best of my ability only 90 secs late. That'll do me, green tick or red cross.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)
