I may be the last to discover this, but...
While searching for Assets for a newly released French route, I discovered a Portuguese BETA route, released last April. It contains some 12 kilometres of very fine scenery mainly in Eastern Lisbon (or Lisboa) and the tracks for another 70 or so kilometres northwards. From what little I know of Lisbon - been there once - it captures the atmosphere very well - the Oriente Station is particularly well modelled.
It's at http://www.comboios.org/forum/viewtopic ... 93&t=16474. The download URLs are on page 6 of a 7-page topic - but don't miss the pictures on previous pages...
Does anyone know any more about this, or about Portuguese RW/TS activity in general?
Kind regards,
John M

I've already got it but not installed yet. It's listed on Christrains.com as one of the requirements for the Mid-Nederland route. I'd be interested to hear more about how you get on with this.

What's the newly released French route? I'm intrigued.

I assume you mean Pau to Canfranc on railsim.fr?K2rover wrote:What's the newly released French route? I'm intrigued.
It's a recreation of a branch line into the Pyranees, Canfranc being a border station with Spain.
The line closed in 1970 when a bridge collapsed near Accous, and being an underused line, a replacement wasn't deemed viable.
I've played the route through and there are some really ridiculous gradients, some I don't remember being as steep, but the scenery is amazing, once you get all the assets.

Good, isn't it?

That's what I had in mind - and I was wrong... I'd got it confused with the ChrisTrains list of assets for Midden Nederland Beta 4. Duh...I assume you mean Pau to Canfranc on railsim.fr?

I really like this Portuguese Route.
Having travelled a number of times in the 1990's I can recognise the different locations.
Just need some CP Rail stock to run on the route.
For the 2600

a reskin of the SNCF 7200 would do
http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/fr/ele ... CN0673.jpg
Yes, I know one is AC and the other DC but it's about the nearest twin pantograph loco.
The 1200 class diesel http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/pt/die ... o-A_08.jpg
is basically an SNCF 63000 http://www.railsim-fr.com/forum/index.p ... owfile=150
The 1500 is an ALCO RSC3 http://www.railfaneurope.net/pix/pt/die ... P_1511.jpg
http://www.dickyjim.com/diesel.html has an RS3 - you just have to ingnore the lack of the middle Axle
And coupling overide.
And CP use SNCF style Corail coaches on the mainline services.
