A Route for TS2014 ~ Hawkesbury Modern

Post by Traveller54 »

~ From 'The Oakwood Shed' ~

A modernised interpretation of the 'Hawkesbury Upton Branch' route from the original version by Antony Perks with his full permission.

The original route files can be found in the UKTS website
Invalid File ID [31984]
&
Click to view more informationHawkesbury Station and Signal box Name signs [1078009 bytes] - Hawkesbury_Names.7z
File ID: 31999 Date: 28 Nov 2013 - 297 Downloads
. These MUST be installed first before attempting to install this version!

The modern area of coverage is basically the same route but with significant enhancements to not only the signalling but also all the stations and lots of the lineside assets. It has been necessary to re-lay some lines and restructure some junctions to aid functionality.

Additionally there are enhancements to the Didmarton Airfield & Depot and the addition of the 'Oakwood MPD' in the South East.

We have been very liberal with the 'Eye Candy' and this is now very much more a 'fictional' route than before however we are confident you will continue to enjoy the experience?!

The current, modern, version number is v2.0 dated 01 February 2014 and is only found here: http://www.oakwood-shed.co.uk/hwb/hawke ... route.html

I have to say, i did have a good chuckle when I saw this. Hawksbury Upton is only just down the road from where I live. My Aunt used to live in Didmarton.

I must give this one a spin when I get a spare moment, thanks to you both for putting this part of the world on the map, even in fictional form.

Thanks Stu', the places are real but of course the lines a fantasy, especially as the junction line was only finished 1903? but i think the line captures the " Cotswold Uplands" fairly well .

Despite installing all your required assets as listed, including having the old route installed first, I am missing an awful lot of assets.
Having installed the signals file I am still left with some signals up in the air (No gantries etc).

I hope I can sort this as I really like this modern version of a lovely (albeit fictional) route.

Dave, I can't provide all the assets required that is why I have included several lists so you can see what you need. I did my best to use some of the most popular that I thought avid users may already have installed! 90% are from the UKTS library however so maybe a little effort on your part is required  :o

hi Dave, have you got your scenery detail set to 10? If not it would explain the missing posts.

Yes I have set to 10.
I will give you an example here:
DPsimulation\RBP01\Railnetwork\Clutter\RBP_SignalGantry1T(D).bin is showing missing in RW Tools.

this file and the Clutter folder is not in any of the Asset download files and I guess this is one of the missing Signal gantries.

Mike, check the path you have installed them in in your Assets folder against the one in the lists on the website?
