transfer points

So I have the basic mechanics down but maybe I dont have the right type of transfer point for what I want done. I basically want load a box car. the doors are animated and linked in. there is a forklift with its animation and its linked in properly in the transfer point blueprint. In the boxcar blueprint I put in bulkcargo def and have a palette for the object that should sit inside when its full. However in game I click the transfer point to load the car and it wont. of course lol. Now I had success when I created another one using the containerload blueprint. Should I use that instead and will it still run the door animation simultaneously?

whats the best approach here?

using the bulkcargo def doesn't work. however the container works since I guess that's what I built the anim on. One problem is that the forklift doesn't pick up the container. it just sticks to the ground and then it disappears when the forklift drops it in the boxcar.

I used go get, pick up, and relax for the commands but cant seem to figure out why it wont work. the whole animation works tho. and is there a way I can command the boxcar to open its doors and use its animation?

I've no idea...you've now got beyond my 'comfort zone' :cry:

All I can suggest now is to look at how the default animated fork truck works (if that's possible) and see if that gives any pointers.

not helpful. basically ive narrowed the issue down to the forklift not picking up the palatte. it still goes thru its animations. then when its time to dump the palette, the palette teleports to its final destination rather than follows the motion with the forklift.

Do you have one animation or two? One for out and another for back.

I have 1 total animation that was broken into 3 parts for a containerload definition. the .IA files were called go get, pick up, and relax respectively. this was the protocol.

I had the same problem as described.
There seems nothing wrong with your .xml.
After renaming the essential pick-up part (node) to "claw", as found in the anim files of the Kuju Container-loader, my model picked up smoothly any package and moved it.
