Happy Day,
G.
I am planning on doing so already, hopefully starting this evening. I have the required Pullman coaches but others that don't can use RW Tools for a quick swap. Should be good for thrash (even more so if we get an AP pack) as it was 10 coaches plus the duff, so equivalent to 13 coaches more or less.

Edit to add my effort from today near Worcester - love the sky!

Sorry to bump this, but there's this as well. I only know, because I can't stop driving this route!

The winter textures for the footbridge at Paignton are like Exeter Station roof missing.

Winter texture for bridge outside Paignton
Make a New Directory
..Assets\RSC\RivieraLine\Scenery\Bridges\Textures
Download this texture
http://rapidshare.com/share/9C4F3D7B4EC ... A4961CF88E
and put it in the directory you just made

Can I sneak in behind Gary, please Dave?

The problem of not being able to do much (being polite here!) in the way of adding locos/stock at each of the main stations ie everything freezes!

Is this something that can only be resolved by the original developers?

Best

Adrian

PS - sorry Gary - after you of course!!

Nice to see such good manners :) but my post was (supposedly) a bit of humour--I must try harder

The route certainly does suffer from that problem, it's been noted by many and I believe a recent update resolved one of the problematical areas. One 'quick and dirty' ploy is to rename the routes 'Scenery' folder, to 'Scenery-X' for example, to prevent the scenic assets being loaded when writing a scenario. That may just be enough to free up resources to let you add stock---might not too, but nothing to lose by trying!

Certainly not at Paignton, as of 3 hours ago, (with a new, (2 day old - fresh) install),

I note the comment about renaming the scenery folder. This is something I have yet to try, but thanks for that suggestion.

In hindsight, perhaps I should have added that there was no mention that the fix had been released yet  ,

I've been extending the route. Selecting any new track placed near the existing route is very frustrating. There seem to be large panels / tiles laid across the route - seems like sheets of block asset trees (???). Temporarily deleting these seems to help with object selection...

Hi Richard,

I got a bit excited that at long last the problems had been fixed, then I read the blog more closely!

Fixes for GEML: London – Ipswich and the Riviera Line have been finalised and will be entering testing soon. The list of fixes for the Riviera Line is as follows:

-Problems placing rolling stock on the track in the scenario editor at Paignton and Exeter now resolved.
-‘Teignmouth’ sign added trackside at Sprey Point
-Alphin Brook has been added just south of Exeter
-Dawlish Warren Golf Club HQ tidied up
-Various small terrain and scenery fixes

- See more at: http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... roxm0.dpuf

Note the 'entering testing soon' bit!
