Info here Martin:

A popular railtour destination in recent years too,

Richard
Interestingly the timber yard occupies the site pictured File:Teigngrace clay sidings, Devon, in 1969.jpg in the article posted whilst I was writing this!

Interesting thank you, would it be colas rail that does that particular working then? As an aside, how does one make a chained scenario?

Yes Martin, it is Colas who operate that service.

As for the chained scenario thingy - I think what you do is when in the editor for the first installment of the chain, whatever the final instruction is (the one before the final destination entry (i.e the orange arrow/blue box)), click on this to bring up it's details. On the panel that appears, the bottom entry has a box to it's right. Tick this to unlock the field to it's left, then in here enter the GUID of the scenario you wish to link to. The second scenario should then load after the first one ends. I must admit I have not applied this in the sim yet, but I intend to do so at some point so I have checked out how I understand it works beforehand. If this is wrong I apologise, and hopefully someone who does know the SP can wade in and advise if need be.

Hope this helps,
Richard

Martin,

Someone who definitely knows his onions has confirmed to me that the process I outlined above is the correct way to do this,

Cheers,

Richard

Thanks Richard very helpful, I think it a waste not to link up B2E with the Riviera line! :) And as a further aside, wasn't the B2E being redone?

I'm a bit late in commenting on the route as I only bought it last Thursday to run the Class 52 on. Back in the late sixties we had two family holidays at Teignmouth and I wanted to recreate the thunder of a hydraulic climbing out of Teignmouth onto the sea wall.

It seems to me that the author(s) ran out of time, after working for too long on the iconic sea-wall section and getting the sea to ebb and flow, forcing a rush to get it into a releasable state for the deadline. Too many of the line-side houses are boxes with the details simply painted on, like Hornby tin-plate buildings for their O-gauge models back in the 1950s and there are too many duplicates just dobbed onto the scenery any old how. The further west you go, the worse it gets. It needed several more weeks of work on the scenery, IMO.

The package is probably just about worth the money, having the Class 143 included and the ever-present HST. The 143 isn't a bad piece of work and with the AP 142 sounds applied it is a pleasure to drive (if not to ride in!) Out of ten? A six. Just.

Never knew about this site! Cheers for the link, not for the Riviera line as I already got it but I'm after the Marias Pass route & they have that at half price as well, I'll be bookmarking that site!

This route is also available at half price through steam as well. You have to use the code at checkout as stated in their newsletter to get it.

Because I could not find the box to enter my discount code in Steam I went to Greenman Gaming and bought the Riviera Line there for £6.75 as they are offering a 10% discount off some of their products. It was offered for half-price and with another 10% off I am happy.

Pretty useless code, as there is nowhere to enter the code at the time of purchase with my steam account

Hi

So others dont fall into the same hole as i have i will pass on the following.

Try the following to get the 50% discount, within the logged in steam home page , in the bottom left hand corner click add a game! Then click the option to enter a gift code, enter the code from the email in the newsletter, this then gives you the 50% discount voucher which you can then use to purchase the Riveria line through the steam site.

Yes i know i now its not very clear in the newsletter, i have learnt the hard way and ended up paying full price, so a ticket to steam support has gone in to see if i can recitfy the situation.

Don't worry too much.... In typical RSC/Dovetail style.... The voucher is out of date... having expired sometime in 1970...

This is not actually a joke... you couldn't make it up
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

I have looked through this thread and have not found what I am looking for, is there another thread please?
My problem is that the route is not showing in the game or even on RWtools.
If there is another thread then I would be obliged. Many thanks

keith

I have the assets in the RSC folder and the manual.
