Why? It's in Manchester not Salford?

For less than 10 miles of additional route it would provide so many more scenario opportunities which was the point I was making.
Does it matter that it's technically Gateshead? If we were to apply the same logic then Manchester Victoria should be called Salford Victoria.
So going on that basis, Settle & Carlisle by RSC should never have been released as it doesn't include Carlisle Yard?
Plus, 125 or so miles is in the route anyway... if you're really that bothered, why not use DPSimulation's ECML North East route and scenario chain two scenarios up to utilise the yard?
That's not what I'm saying but had they done so it would of made it much more versatile.

It's on the boundary of the City of Manchester and the City of Salford.

As the route starts in Newcastle we would not get yards that far south. Ones around Edinburgh are of course another matter.

I can however confirm that North Berwick,Millerhill,Powderhall and Newcraighall are included, these were seen as more important than Tyne Yard I'm sure the majority will agree.

I can't guarantee but it *may* and I do stress that it may not happen, but I may build the section to Birtley, including Tyne yard in the future for an update. The simple fact of the matter is that it would take much more time for us to add Tyne Yard and it's simply not feasible for the initial release.

It would be fantastic if it did as you could then do freight scenarios between Tyne Yard and Millerhill Yard as per real life. I appreciate it's already been included in other routes but it seems a logical inclusion for a route that starts in that area and given it's close proximity. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed.

GEML is advertised as London - Ipswich but actually goes onto Felixstowe and thank god it does.

Fully understand what you are suggesting as I am also a scenario creator by trade as well as route builder,as nice as it would e been to include Tyne Yard in the release build it simply wasn't top of the priorities, obviously we wanted to ensure the sections north of Newcastle were faithfully recreated. I am sure Heaton,Craigentinny,Millerhill and the other depots/yards will be more than enough to keep everyone happy for many months to come.

My point was that Tyne Yard is South of Newcastle, so a route advertised as Newcastle-Edinburgh would most likely not include it (as now confirmed). However, it may include Tyne Yard at a later date which would be a bonus for us all.

Len

I have already built the routes from Tweedmouth via Cornhill to Wooler. Tweedmouth-Kelso-St.Boswells and Tweedmouth-Berwick-Reston-Duns-St.Boswells with bits of the ECML and Waverley lines in them.

Been at it for years now, will never be finished...

There is nothing to stop anyone extending the route south and adding Tyne Yard for their own enjoyment. The layout is already visible in the other routes and all of the bridges are available in the old default routes, so you don't have to build any models, just lay a bit of track and add a few assets and it will be as you wish.

Hi Mark,

Great looking screenies.

Is there any superelevation on the track in the route? Some of the corners the route takes around the coast are pretty tight!

Cheers,

Tim
