We've never stopped - it's just this one started (approx end of 2010!) and quite some time later had a bit of a hiccup, and has been lots of work carried out by the current team ever since. Hopefully not too much longer now though until you'll all get to experience another fantastic main line route!

Indeed as Simon says above it's been something of a mission to get this route produced and building has taken us much longer than anticipated, however I can certainly say it will be by far the best JT route so far and also right up there with the best of them, that I can assure people.

Hi
This another route on my to get list,I also like JT routes, and you never know they might include a class 91 and MK 4 coaches,as I think Hst's and Voyagers have been done to death now, every new route seems to have them these days.

Really looking forward to this one! Especially since DP Simulation's great rendition of Newcastle to York has been published via the workshop, I have been hoping for this part of the route to be done...
And as both the ECML and WCML are getting more and more complete, maybe some Add-On producer will start work on a route including Waterloo, that would be like Christmas and Birthday on the same day for me...

(Preferably Waterloo - Reading)

The only really interesting bit of the ECML scenically. I hope and pray that Tyne Yard, Millerhill Yard and Haymarket TMD are included. If they're not then it will seriously limit scenario possibilities.
I agree and I'm sure Just Trains have thought this through, especially with Tyne Yard.

Isn't Tyne Yard in Gateshead, so a route that starts at Newcastle and goes northwards won't include it?

The great thing about the Newcastle - Edinburgh route is that you've got a wealth of scenario opportunities and traction variety. Hopefully the route would include the North Berwick branch and the short line to Newcraighall. There are the obvious East Coast and Cross Country high speed services with various stopping patterns, then there's the Northern services from Newcastle to Morpeth and Alnmouth etc, Scotrail services to Dunbar, North Berwick and Newcraighall as well as freight also. There is so much you could do with this route. Almost all of the traction already exists, with the notable exception of the 91/Mk4 sets but fingers crossed they appear in time.
Really looking forward to this one.

Looking forward to this one so that I can remove the electrification and add the yards/station at Tweedmouth and use it as it was back when I lived there in the 1950s when locos had steam and boilers and sounded like they should, not glorified trucks and buses.

Presumably you'll want the branch to Cornhill via Norham, and on to Wooler, Mike? As a Rothbury sort of Northumbrian I would like to see the NB branch from Morpeth to Scots Gap and Rothbury! Is there a tutorial anywhere on the method of removing OHLE from a route?

It is indeed but it's the major yard of the area so it would be daft not to include it and indeed Dunston Staithes.
For less than 10 miles of additional route it would provide so many more scenario opportunities which was the point I was making.
Does it matter that it's technically Gateshead? If we were to apply the same logic then Manchester Victoria should be called Salford Victoria.

To be factually correct Tyne Yard is not in Gateshead! It is out in the country, a good way south of Gateshead, between the two old stations at Lamesley and Birtley.

So going on that basis, Settle & Carlisle by RSC should never have been released as it doesn't include Carlisle Yard?
Plus, 125 or so miles is in the route anyway... if you're really that bothered, why not use DPSimulation's ECML North East route and scenario chain two scenarios up to utilise the yard?

To put an end to speculation,Tyne Yard is not included in the initial release, honestly I didn't think it would be requested so widely considering that it is already in 2 routes (3 if you include Darren's On Steam). I can however confirm that North Berwick,Millerhill,Powderhall and Newcraighall are included, these were seen as more important than Tyne Yard I'm sure the majority will agree.
I can't guarantee but it *may* and I do stress that it may not happen, but I may build the section to Birtley, including Tyne yard in the future for an update. The simple fact of the matter is that it would take much more time for us to add Tyne Yard and it's simply not feasible for the initial release.

If you could find me a truck with a Napier engine sounding like a Deltic, I'd drive it all day 24/7!
I'm also very happy to read North Berwick is included, I'll be looking forward to driving a Class 90 + MK3 vith DVT rake on the Edinburgh - North Berwick old Scotrail services!
A Deltic railtour from end to end is a must too, and a modern one with a 91...am I the only one looking forward to driving EC's Flying Scotsman service?
