Class 43 MTU - Brake release is slow with AP Sound Pack

Post by JLD95 »

Hi,
is it normal to have a slow brake release with HST Class43 MTU patched with AP Sound pack ? Is it possible to increase the rate of brake release ?

The brake release rate was changed in line with the rate the brakes released when recording the sounds for extra realism.

To back this up, the FGW MTUs are slow compared with the XC sets that got modified with a slightly different system. Apparently according to one of my driver contacts, the XC sets are on a par with a 158 as far as hitting the stopping mark for example is concerned, whilst the FGW ones can be very hit and miss, purly because they are so slow and only with experience can you get anywhere near.
