Tornado Tour

Post by Ajay1 »

Whats the key to starting this scenario Part 1, (UKTS32165) ? Have done as instructed at the start and saved ,then restarted it by pressing resume. Managed to get as far as waiting for the 17:35 Minehead - Bishops Lydeard Service to depart, upon reaching the time of 17:35 the doors slam shut but the service can't depart because of a 16:10 Bishops Lydeard - Minehead Service which is a wee way up the line waiting to arrive. Its been sitting there the entire time and wont move in to make way for the departing train on the single line track. Help !!!

Antony.

That's as far as I got too Antony.I kept wondering if I had missed something important..
The 16:10 Bishops Lydeard - Minehead didn't move far before stopping in the single line section so 17:35 came and went with the DMU still loading passengers and having the road from the signalman but obviously unable to go anywhere.
So at 17:38 I got my coat and went home.

Then I had a look at the timetable in editor and appears that the 16:10 should have set off for the Up Platform as soon as the scenario started. Something has obviously upset the dispatcher causing this train to only move a few yards before stopping so the scenario wont run.
Shame..

Yes it is a shame,Part two works no problem. I'll send a PM to the creator to see what could be done.

Hi there.

It is a bizarre bug, One that seems to of been fixed when - Saving and then resuming at the start. I would say when any of the trains freeze again do the save and resume thing.

Thanks Jason, I'm sure I did this. Will try the save and resume thing again and see what happens.

:-? It works for me. I wonder why it won't for others. Weird. The only other work around I can think of is to... Drive up to the ground signal as normal... Then click on the Hall coming in. and drive it manually into the main Minehead station. Then use the 'Heads out' view to click on 'Tornado again. The AI should then take over the Hall again. It's weird it works for some and not others. But that's TS for you.

Part1 worked fine for me with no problems, it was only after seeing this thread that I knew there could be a problem. Not started part 2 or 3 yet.

Very strange!!! working for some and not others ? perhaps I'll uninstall it and reinstall, see if that helps.Failing that I will try as Jason suggests to move the Hall into the station myself. Is there a part 3!!!?

Antony.

Edit: just tried uninstall/reinstall of it,no luck, Even trying to get into the hall to move it would not work. Oh well I'm beaten on this one.

I'm sorry about that... I will take a look when I get a chance and try to fix it. My suggestion (If you still want to try part 1) is to go in to the scenario and just simply remove the BL - M service (Hall).

There is no part 3 as I speak but when/if I reupload it there will be with a part 3 into Paddington maybe.

Kind regards
Jason.

This confuses me, maybe there are two scenarios with the same name, I have a 3 part Tornado Tour I got from the Steam workshop last week

The one referred to here was posted here and I believe has since been removed. I was unaware of the similar one to which you are referring on the Steam workshop, thanks I'll now look into that one as well. Jason, I tried as you suggested and edited out the Hall loco, when came the time for the 17:35 Minehead - Bishops Lydeard Service to depart this time it started to move off( I thought "Ah!!! this is good, its working") only for it to stop a short distance later not to move again. As though the signals & switches were against it. Never mind, at least Part two works fine.

Will try that, and why are you sorry, there's nothing to be sorry for. Glitches happen.
