Exeter to Plymouth, top of my list! Well done RSC for picking something exciting and outside of London!
That pic is at Dawlish Warren right at the start of the famous sea wall run between Dawlish and Teignmouth.
Oh man the scenario potential is huge, Peaks, 50's, Westerns, Hymeks, Warships, 37's, 47's to name just my favourite few!

Yep. That's definatley the warren alright, pity it looks to be set in modern times as it wil limit the amount of activities you can do on the line as most of the yards and rail served industries have sadly been stripped off now a late 70's period would have been fantastic but that's just me I guess, though I am trying to guess what type of plastic bus will come with the route and the obvious one I can thInk of would be a 143 as they do most of the stoppers

Great news

I travel this route every couple of weeks when I visit my girlfriend, so it'll be great to see it in-game. The views of the sea and Teign estuary between Starcross and Newton Abbot are spectacular. Sometimes it's enough to make me forgot that I'm cooped up in one of those monstrosities that CrossCountry refer to as Voyagers.
It'll be interesting to see where they decide to start and end this route. Hopefully we'll get a few branchlines thrown in to add a bit more operational variety.

I'm going against the flow here and say I prefer modern FGW times. But so glad to see they are coming down this way just have to see how far down Plymouth or Penzance. I hope Penzance as it would be nice to see the Tamar Bridges. But if it's only asfar as Plymouth I hope they add the Paignton and Exmouth branch lines,

I think we'd all love to see it go as far as Penzance but it seems a bridge too far!! Personally I can't see it going any further than Plymouth as it's not RSC's style to do something as dazzling as all the way to Penzance from Exeter.
Difficult to predict this one. Exeter to Plymouth is only 40 miles or so which does seem a little short, however it's not 100mph straight line blasting like you get on WCML, GEML, ECML etc. In real life it takes about an hour to travel from Plymouth to Exeter by train due to the winding tracks, lower speed limits and steep banks. A far more interesting drive though. I'd rather drive 40 miles through interesting scenery and locations than 100 miles of featureless nothingness at 100mph.

Well lets do some good old speculating. Lets start with the known facts.
1. The route is going to include Dawlish.
2. The going length of an RSC route is in the 60-80m range.
That is all.
We can assume given the inclusion of Dawlish the route will probably start from or include in some manner Exeter. The mileage from Exeter to Plymouth is 52m, to Penzance, 131m. The former therefore I think is probably too short as an end to end route, the latter too long. I would guess Penzance can therefore be ruled out.
Now, Newton Abbot to Paignton is 8m, attached to a Exeter - Plymouth we then have 60m. Add Exmouth as well, 71m. So including one or both of those we are up to length. I would expect to see Exmouth given the fact RSC will have to terraform and maybe put down some scenery given the other side of the Exe estuary up to and including Exmouth can be clearly seen from the main line. But, I have noticed a little curve ball, Taunton. Taunton to Plymouth is 82m end to end. So maybe that will happen.
Despite that however, given the lack of Hertford Loop on the ECML and lack of Sudbury or Harwich on the GEML my money is on Exeter to Plymouth, no branchlines.

RSC, need to learn to extend there routes with branch lines to other areas, they just leave them which i think is poor, i am glad it modern era, cant stand old eras

Pretty much. The vast majority rest is covered by long existing DLC.

My money is also on Exeter to Plymouth no branch lines. People have been begging RSC to include branch lines in their new routes since day one and they almost never do it unless it's something tiny and insignificant. I think we can safely rule out Paignton, Dartmoor or any of the Cornish branch lines.
