Weird "Container Load" behaviour.

Post by eyore »

I have made "container loads" for a lot of models without problem, but, for the last few days, I have been struggling with a wagon model whose container load wouldn't show in game.

I tried everything I could think of, checked the mesh, checked the blueprints, made sure all parts were properly orientated, but no joy. Then I came across this thread and wondered if it gave a clue to the answer. http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... ainer+load

My model has no sound, as the sounds were to be added by someone else, so, having read the above thread I tried adding wagon sounds as a child object and, bingo, the container loaded just fine.

As Sherlock Holmes once said “When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”

Why the container load is linked to the child objects I have no idea, what would be the point?
