Maybe a full blown German steam route with three steamers, a tank, a freighter and a passenger engine.
Yes, I'd also love a German steam route, even though I have zero knowledge of German Railways. But wouldn't the Harz be nice?
Last year was a good year for steam enthusiasts; between all of the third parties' efforts, I think this year is going to be even better.

Hi,
The route I would like to see is the North London Line steam era, could have freight trains starting at Feltham, there was plenty of inter regional freight trains in those days and those big Feltham based Tank Loco's
Loco's 700, Adams 0395,H16,G16,H15, loco's for the route,not asking a lot am I.
I can remember the 700 and 0395,shunting the coal yard at Hounslow.

The more I think about it the more I crave a route in my neck of the woods, Devon/Cornwall. Exeter to Penzance would be great but might be pushing it a bit for distance, however Exeter to Plymouth would be a big hit and tick many boxes. It's a timeless route with no wires and much of it unchanged in decades so a modern adaption could pass for anything from late steam to modern day. It links well with Exeter to Bristol for extended scenarios. You've got the legendary 5 mile sea front run along Teignmouth/Dawlish. You've got the infamous Hemerdon and Dainton Banks to thrash any loco to full bore. You've got mixed passenger and freight (including china clay traffic). You've got Laira Depot. You've got city to city running but with a nice mix of rural/coastal in between and numerous station stops. You've got several possible branch lines. You can convincingly run HST's, Voyagers, 150's, 153's, 158's, 25's, 33's, 37's, 47's, Peaks, 50's, Westerns, Hymeks and have scenarios covering a wealth of eras.
For an added bonus it could be extended slightly further west to take in Devonport naval base, the Plymouth west end stations and the famous Brunel built Royal Albert Bridge over the Tamar into Cornwall. Maybe include the Gunnislake branch or extend down to Lostwithiel to link up with Creative Rail's China Clay route?
Thameslink line: Bedford - Sutton/Wimbledon Loop & Sevenoaks via Catford loop branch seeing as we have most of the Brighton leg already, and Jordi's 319 to go with it. Would be nice to have the route as it is before it all changes in 2018.
With the upload of the WMCL midland route, which is fantastic it now highlights more missing traction although we have most traction for the London area from 1988 onwards only missing a class 313, there is nothing for local services between Coventry and Birmingham in the form of class 323 and a class 304/310 for BR blue era
