Settle Carlisle

Post by Trev123 »

I see that since TS2014 that the Settle Carlisle route add on and the Settle Carlisle Specials add on have now been merged into one route. They were separate items in TS2013.

Not sure what you mean. The Settle-Carlisle Route is still a separate DLC, required in order to use the Settle-Carlisle Specials (which is 5 locos + scenarios).

Chris is right, it's still the same as it ever was. On the Steam special product page it says at the bottom

"Please note: Settle-Carlisle Specials requires the Settle-Carlisle expansion pack (available separately) in order to play."

What I mean I have both, which I have had almost since they came out. In TS2013 they were shown as separate routes in the game, but under TS2014 they have been merged and both are shown under Settle Carlisle in the drive menu. Yes I know that they are still shown up separately on Steam. Get my drift.
I was looking for the Settle Carlisle route and the Settle Carlisle Classics I think it was called so I compared the routes I had with both the ones on Steam and they are all the same, so if you have both in TS2014 they have been merged into one.
Got it. Sorry for repeating myself.

Uh? It is quite Natural that the Settle - Carlisle specials scenarios show up on the Settle - Carlisle route, as they are for just that route...

Yep, still not sure what you're getting at! They show up separately in the Collection screen (not that I ever use that), and the Specials DSL is only loco + scenarios for the route. The conenction between them remains, but nothing has changed in the way they are structured, or the way they are displayed.

The Settle and Carlisle Steam specials cannot have their own section under Drive away from the route as they are only rolling stock. They have always shown as available locomotives in scenarios within the Settle and Carlisle route. Once again, as above, I am unsure what you are attempting to explain I fear Trev.
