But I'm still not understanding what it means 'centre-sprung'. Image
Regards.
You let go of the handle and it springs back to centre position, to move the handle either way you need to pull against the sprung resistance to get what you desire.
Ah, now I get it.
Thank you very much for the explanation. Image

As far as I know, scripting the speed set system as well as the various methods of braking on the 90 was a bit of a nightmare for the Waggonz fellas so I'm pretty sure what's available now is the best that could be achieved with a few inevitable compromises.
Compromises being the key word! That must have been one hell of a project to achieve the level of realism that Armstrong have reached. Fantastic package. The 92 must be an even bigger challenge - look forward to the release.

I always thought 92's were dual powered but clearly I am mistaken! The shoes are up and there is no OLE so do they also run on fairy dust?

Or to look at it another way, "well done Dovetail for having third rail shoes that lower and raise"?

Or..."Here's a picture of a dead class 92 parked up in a siding (we apologise for the leaves on the 3rd shrub back being very slightly the wrong colour, but it is a WIP shot) "

Or how about looking more carefully at the large version of the FB screenshot and noting the shoes are down!

This does look rather promising! So many nice locos to drive, so little time (having a 2-month-old will do that...)

Fair do's had a closer look and the contacts are indeed down, so my mistake, it looked on my screen like the shoes were up.
