Re: Class 91 and Class 92 Progress
*cough* Summer sale, Steam rarely do an Easter sale (9+ years Steam user). You sometimes get the odd publisher who will do a small sale over the same period, but nothing like the scale of Summer / Black Friday / Xmas & New Year sales.
Re: Class 91 and Class 92 Progress
Sure there was an Easter sale last year...?

Re: Class 91 and Class 92 Progress
Given that the 92s' entry into service was at the same time as the Chunnel opened, they barely had any pre-privatisation service to talk about...

Hmmm, doesn't look like it... Releases for the N/A market tends to be early in the day these days, it seems (going by the recent couple of months or so), and nothing's new in the store yet...Irishrailguy wrote:something is supposed to be released tonight

Hello.
Preview of Class 92 in "Engine Driver" → http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... locomotive
As indicated in the bottom of the page, this locomotive will be available from Steam in the next couple of weeks or so.
It will include the Sffggmrrss Megafret wagons and several scenarios for WCML-N route.

PS: Does anyone know tell me what this means?
The train brake is centre-sprung (like the real-life version) so it has a different way of operation than, say, the Class 67.

No, anything but! Forget Class 66 / 67s and all the other Locos, a 92 is completely on its own. The Drivers Auto Brake Stick works in the opposite direction (pull back to apply and push forward to release). The Direct Air Brake also works in the same way. If the Auto Brake Stick developes a fault, by operating a Valve in the Drivers Desk the Direct Air Brake becomes the Auto Brake . Prob not modelled in Train Sim version?ckmemphis wrote:Juanillo99 wrote:

Hopefully the Speed Control system has not been modelled on the current Class 90 packs which do not mimick the real Loco despite being patched!

Re: Class 91 and Class 92 Progress
As far as I know, scripting the speed set system as well as the various methods of braking on the 90 was a bit of a nightmare for the Waggonz fellas so I'm pretty sure what's available now is the best that could be achieved with a few inevitable compromises.yyyyamst wrote: Hopefully the Speed Control system has not been modelled on the current Class 90 packs which do not mimick the real Loco despite being patched!

Ok.
But I'm still not understanding what it means 'centre-sprung'.

You let go of the handle and it springs back to centre position, to move the handle either way you need to pull against the sprung resistance to get what you desire.Juanillo99 wrote:Ok.
