Myself I've picked up the GEML bundle since its practically a free GEML 90 and also the WSR on its own since I didn't really want the diesel bundle and didn't really see the point of paying extra for two things I already have anyway.

I may still get the 87, but may just hold off and stick with the Shap 87 in BR blue which seems to be forthcoming with Keith's route soon.
Enjoy the 90 + GEML both are brilliant of course.

We see the same thing every year. The anticipation of the "sale" and wild speculation of the discounts and what will be in the sale.

So far I have only gone for the full Skyrim pack for Bronwyn. Civilisation V : Brave New World is tempting me but I will hold on and see if it goes beyond 50% discount. Still playing out the Gods & Kings pack at the moment.

As I said last year (and probably the year before) : if you have to have something on release day then don't come complaining a week or two later when it is discounted in the sale. Patience is a virtue.

I'm holding back till Christmas I think. I like the idea of the WSR but I don't think i'd use it with the limiting stock. If it were like the ole days with the Trainz and MSTS versions where you'd get a ton of stuff with it I think i'd run with it :).

I'm just too obsessed with GEML since it came out and haven't really touched anything else since.. Plus spending 90% of the time creating. I was tempted to get the 08 pack but I can wait..

Really I'm hoping for a sale over at Armstrong Powerhouse :p But if there is one I guess it'l be around Christmas. I'm happier to enhance what I already own.. :)

Speaking of sales, 40% off over at http://www.trainsimulatorscenarios.co.uk - Shameless I know, but with people now picking up bundles, the quest for activity requirements might be easier :p. As well as having a much better experience with sale purchases than the lacking 2 or 3 activities RSC bundles with things these days..

With Skyrim the fullpack you won't have much time for Brave new World :P . I am tempted to get the Civ addon though.

For most sale stuff i will be waiting for the Christmas one instead really. As might have some better deals.

Got Skyrim off Steam about a year ago. Played it for half an hour and haven't touched it since.

Unlikely, unfortunately, and the discounts generally don't reach the levels they did five or six years ago - although, of course, 40% to 60% is nothing to be sneezed at!

As someone who grew up on classic PC RPGs, I found Skyrim to be a little disappointing overall as I did Oblivion, too. I suspect the future lies in the likes of Project Eternity which is more of a traditional PC RPG and a bit of a return to roots.

As far as TS goes, plenty on my wishlist that's now 40% off but I'm not missing the content so I shall bide my time.

For those regretting they feel stung over items now being on sale, it's swings and roundabouts. I am sure we've all been there and not just with DLC for TS. Out of the 320 or so games I own on Steam, I would imagine I've paid full price for only a relative handful and they'll be the ones where a day one purchase was necessary in my eyes. Plenty of ways to get discounts these days, not least the Humble Bundle and its like.

Hmm.... 8 € for Bristol - Exeter... Already have it from JustTrains but seems tempting anyway for the ability to use Workshop scenarios....
17 € for GEML + Class 90.... And for Marias Pass + BNSF SD40-2... I fear for the future of my bank account :P

Found myself buying WCMLN, and also the Fowler 4F (for scenario compatibility).

Those two, along with Antichamber (my brain will be absolute mush tonight; one serious mindbender of a game), came to around about £15. Chuffed.

I'm tempted by some steam locos that I have passed on at full price, especially:

DT's 2MT
Meshtool's Jinty
RSC's A4 and S&C packs...

Grab that Doncaster Works offer. Although it's 'only' a shunting area there is something to be said not racing through miles of trees until you hit the next station. It is a very gritty enjoyable experience with lots of atmosphere and plenty of clanking. Check out the size of that transverser! At £3.49 you would be nuts to miss out on a Class 03 and loads of bits of rusty trains. Highly recommended.

I see Steam have just started their Autumn sale....
West Somerset add-on down to £11.99
WSR plus the two loco add-on - down to £14.99

I feel a purchase coming on...
