For those that don't have the Steam version of the Class 90 and own the original from Armstrong Powerhouse site then here is a reskin in Freighliner Livery.

It's Quick Drive Enabled

It's a decent reskin but it's not worth £1.99 I would say. Especially since AP have made a yet to be released Freightliner 90 pack. The numbering is meant to be dark green to match the main body colour and the textures look blurry. I wouldn't have been so picky and critical, but if you are selling something, it has to be right.

I think there's too many developers trying to make a quick buck these days.
Callum.

Hi Callum,

You are welcome to be as critical as you like, besides, nobody can improve unless they respond the criticism. Your points regarding the numbering, there will be a patch out to rectify this at some point. The reason it has been released now and not when the patch is ready is because we know people are waiting for the AP Steam version, so this version is designed for those that do not own the Steam version but would still like a reskin.

In relation to the 'blurryness' that may well be the picture being slightly too large for the post, its most certainly not blurry in game.

Best Wishes.

Is this (and the other repaint on another site at at £3.99) actually allowed?? :-?

AP's terms and conditions of use for the Class 90 state "Persons may not modify these files in any way. These files must not be re-distributed in any form without prior permission".

Hi Varney,
AP's terms and conditions of use for the Class 90 state "Persons may not modify these files in any way. These files must not be re-distributed in any form without prior permission".
Firstly, we are not distributing any files that belong to the original model created by Wagonz/Armstrong Powerhouse, the files needed to create the reskin belong to us, therefore we are merely distributing our own texture files.

Secondly, we have prior permission from Richard Armstrong to produce a reskin for his product providing the terms you mention above are met, to which they are.

I hope that clears the matter up for you and thanks for taking the time to comment :-)

Wow, I thought I'd seen it all. I'm sorry to say but as has been pointed out above, it's not close to money worthy purely because it's not accurate. Just by referencing a real picture with this repaint, this is what I can find that's wrong:

*The numbers are the wrong colour for a start, they're in the wrong places also. (Credit though, thee author has said they'll fix them).
*The orange cantail stripe has been painted over so it's thinner one side of the loco than the other
*The front of the loco has a horrible single base grey udner the buffers, as opposed to the real loco which has a darker colour with texturing.
*Underneath the horn grille/mesh, that small rectangle plate has been painted over, giving the effect of filling and hiding it, removing more detail.
*The small square underneath the FL logo is yellow on the real loco, but grey on this one.
*The bodyside logo is too big and is slightly too far in one direction, therefore in the wrong place.
*The textures look similar to as if they've been block painted. Not saying they have but that's the impression they give.

Fine, I'll admit, above probably sounds harsh, I think it's totally fair to point out, if you're going to make a repaint payware (which alot of people are doing these days), make sure it's accurate! Given the points above and going from a photograph of the real freightliner locomotive, this just isn't accurate. Yes, I'm not being forced to buy it, Yes, I don't have to buy it, and yes, I won't be buying it, but I'm entitled to opinion. This really would've been better off being uploaded for freeware with the quality of it. As Callum said above, most BUT not all are out for a quick buck. I'm sorry if this offends you but it's my opinion and I am entitled to it whether people think it's out of place or not. Doubt this will be here for long but I said what I wanted to and that's an end of it for me.

3.99 for a reskin, and so far as I can see not an especially fabulous one? No thank you. I honestly think you're going to have to re-think your business model if customer reaction is in line with what people are saying here.

A brave and accurate post, well done. I am in complete agreement.
That is the reskin from Railworkers, not from Freewarescenarios that is being "advertised" here.
