Yes, that'll be if you number the loco as a 47/8 like 47828, then it'll fail and clag a lot :lol:

I'll say that it has to do with improper driving technique, and that it applies equally to both locos. No more specific than that.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Well, the 86/87 already had one of those, and I have added one to the 47, but that's not what I'm talking about.

Suprisingly, the loco will live on. It was only the de-icer that caught fire and the rest apparently is repairable.

Seems more like transformer or motor damage with that much smoke and flame.
