Having just acquired the J50 download from steam I was disappointed that, in advanced mode:
1) The injectors don't work; have to use the HUD as in STD mode.
2) No running position on the brakes therefore, when released, the large ejector is always open thus wasting steam and making a lot of noise.
This is all I have discovered before giving up in disgust.
I have also noted with the 2014 release problems with the J34 in the Maerdy and Woodhead line scenarios where some destination arrivals result in 'failure' or the computer crashes.
Any body else experiencing similar problems?

Re: J50 Problems on TS2014
Further to this:
1) Injectors work if HUD is hidden. Noted that, unlike the Jinty, the keyboard control for 'steam' is a toggle (ie: no 'shift' key to turn off). I should have studied the manual more thoroughly.
2) Ensuring small ejector is on allows a 'running' position (15%) indicated by silence from the large ejector. There is no script indicating 'running'; it still indicates 'release'.

The lack of a "Running" position indicated on either the F3, F4 or F5 HUDs is by design, not a glitch or fault. It's just the way the programmer has chosen to simulate the small ejector on the Dreadnought setup, so that the position of the small ejector handle has a variable effect on steam usage. Hope that helps to clear up any worries regarding the brakes at least.

Re: J50 Problems on TS2014
With Meshtools engines, it helps to read the documentation BEFORE running, for they're set up differently than most steamers in order to make them more realistic. I'll admit, I had to go into the manual on my Jinty to figure out how to work everything properly, the LMS Combination Brake in particular, and it probably would've been easier for me to read it before I set off in a scenario and made a fool of myself...
On the plus side, I find these engines oh-so worth it in the end, for as someone who has driven steam in real life, I can tell you that Meshtools offerings feel (and sound) very real, and are very rewarding to drive and fire once you've gotten in some practice.
